The beginning/ When Worlds Collide (L x Reader Death Note)

Chapter 2- book 2

You sigh and pace the room you were in. L left for work and you called in saying you were sick. You couldn't say that you had some kind of god of death in your house playing with your kid. You quickly walk out of the room with a few questions to ask her. You look around and found your daughter counting. "Hey Mei. Do you know where Shadow is?" you ask gently. 

"I'm not sure yet mommy." Mei says looking at you with innocent eyes, "She went to hide and I count. I must play the game fairly." She says triumphantly. You sigh and walk around the house for a bit. She could be anywhere. 

~One hour later... 

"There you are!" You shout when both you and Mei found her in the attic. "Look I got a few questions for you." You state calmly before walking out of the attic. Shadow follows you down into the living room.

"Well ask away." She says and sits on the couch. You stand in front of her. She slumps into the couch and folds her arms. She looks up at you with her gray, blue eyes smirking.

"Well one, where is your death note? Two, you never come to town to visit me, so why did you come now? Unless your death note has been picked up by a human?" you say and fold your arms. You see just a little falter in her eyes, showing anger. Well you certainly said something right.

"Ugh... I guess I have no choice. Well yes a human took my note, but I had no control over it being taken. Ryuk came for a visit and I wasn't really watching him and I guess he took it." Shadow looks pissed off, more then usual. "I'm trying to figure out who Kira is here and get my Death note back." You sigh and take a seat next to her. 

"I was kind of wishing that you were just coming for a visit... But I guess fate wont let that happen." You let out a small laugh in disbelief. "I know where Kira is and who it is. But if we do go... I can't have L come with." You say looking down at your feet having the memory of him almost dying come into mind. It was a fear you never want to come true. You may not be able to save him this time.

 "Look I know your upset about bringing L with and maybe your kid, but we have to get my book back. Its not finished yet!" Shadow said harshly.

"Wait your book isn't finished yet? Then that means... Shadow are you able to go get the Life Note?" You say in a quiet tone.

"I can try. Oh! I know why you want that book. So you can save L if he gets into trouble!" Shadow said while bumping your arm with her elbow while wiggling her eyebrows at you. 

"Oh stop that! And yes, but not just for L. Its for who ever is killed that is on our side." You say pushing shadow away. "All we need to do is convince L to stay here and keep a low profile." You say just as you hear the front door open. 

"Mommy! Daddy's home!" You hear Mei shout as she ran from where ever she was playing to L.

"I'll go talk with him now..." You say as you get up off the couch.

Sorry this is so late! I really am. I've been really busy and only able to update one story at a time. Anyways hope you enjoyed and next chapter is coming soon, like sooner than this one. Also I got to lazy to title the chapters...
