The beginning/ When Worlds Collide (L x Reader Death Note)

Chapter 14- A Day of Good?

L…. You ran faster down the hall. Where are you?  You stopped when you reached the end of the hall. You fell to the ground; tears were dropping from your face.  “L… WHERE ARE YOU!” You shouted out. You saved him. SAVED! You felt a hand rest on your shoulder.

“Excuse me miss. Did you say L?” A young woman spoke softly. 

You turn around and look up at her. “Did you say L…?” You grabbed ahold of the young woman’s shoulders. “Where is he?”  Your voice was shaking. “Tell me now!” You demanded.  

“I-I’ll take you to him... just please let go of me.” You let her go and go up. She started towards the elevator. She looks back at you and gestured for you to follow.  You get up and follow after her. You both walked into the elevator with out saying a word. She inserted her key into a button with a keyhole next to the other buttons but they were all black while that one is white.  You feel the elevator drop. It’s going faster then when it normally runs. You hold onto the rail, scared if when it stops you’ll be crushed.

            After a while the elevator comes to a complete stop. You look at the young woman as the doors open. “Go on…”She points to the hall way that was empty with only one room at the end of it.  You walk slowly out.  Two men in black suits walk up to you. They have serious faces on.

            “Who are you? Your not supposed to be down here.” They both say in unison.

            “My name is Z. I’m am here to see L. A young woman guided me down here. If you have any issues with me being here to see L… go tell him ‘Z is here’ then see what he has to say.” 

Both of the men looked at each other then back at you. The one on the right walked to the doors at the end of the hall. “You may go with him.” The one of the left spoke in a softer tone then before. You nodded at him then went to the doors. The man on the right opens up the door with a key and leads you in.

            You walk in after the man; you look over to find L lying in a bed hooked up to all sorts of medical machines.  L looks at as you entered the room. He was eating a piece of cake. You run up to his bedside.

            “L! You’re alive!” You hug him not caring that his cake went all over you guys. 

            “Of course I’m alive. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be here…” His voice was calm and smooth. “But… You got the cake all over us… what a waste.” L looks at your with disappointment. Yet there is something else in his eyes.  He moves toward you and whispers in your ear. “I’ll have to punish you later for wasting my cake.” L licks some cake off your cheek. You blush lightly and shiver. You get up and let go of L.

“Z can you clean the cake off of me, please?” L looks at you with an innocent look.

            “Um… I guess?” You walk into the bathroom and take a wash clothe out off of a metal rack, beside the shower. You grab a new white shirt for L. You walk over to the sink and run the wash clothe under the warm water. You walk back into the room and back to L.  L looks at you. He is starting to curl his legs to get in his normal sitting position, but not exactly. He isn’t able to sit up yet. So he just is curled up. You walk over to him. “L… arms up.” L nods and sticks his arms straight into the air. You grab the hem of his shirt and pulled it over his head. You then take the wash clothe and clean off his face and his hair. After you were done with cleaning the cake off him, you couldn’t help but take a look at his chest. His skin was pale and clean. You grabbed the shirt and quickly put it on him. You couldn’t waste another moment looking over him. He was too perfect for anyone, a pure genius sitting in front of you. You were only able to make it into such work as this and meet L because of being a God of Death. 

            “Z? You okay? Your staring… is there something interesting about me?” L says breaking your thoughts with a cocky grin.

            “N-no!” You blush and back away from him. “No… sorry I just got lost in thought...” You sighed and looked at him. “So when will you be able to leave?”

L shrugs, “Not sure. But I’m sure I’ll be out in a little.” You nod and look down. L takes your hand and pulls you onto his lap. “Lets just stay here for a little bit.” You nod and cuddle up with in his lap. L gives a small smirk and holds you close to him.

---Time Skip---

You wake up to L poking your face. He was dressed and ready to go. “Z… Come on. Time to go home.”  You nod and get up slowly wiping the sleep from your eyes. You follow L and the men in black suits, outside to a limo. One of the men open up the door to the limo for you to climb in. You get in and help L in. He still is a little unstable. The man closes the door and both of them climb in the front. You sit across from L in the limo as it drives down the busy street. It doesn’t take long before you guys reach the building where you were currently staying. But since the investigation is on hold for a few days you guys will be all alone in the building. The one man in black that was sitting in the passenger seat opened up the door for your and L to get out.

Both of you and L get out of the car and say good-bye to the men. You walk into the building following behind L. Finally you and L reach the research area. You look at L who turns around to face you.

            “Z… I know that we have been with each other for a year now… But I know we have been really busy with the investigation… I’m sorry I know I sound stupid. I’m not to good with words…” L’s hand slowly takes out a black velvet colored box from is pocket. “Z… Will you...”
