Castiel's POV

Castiel woke up and lay in bed for a few more minutes than he should have. He got out of bed and slowly trudged into the bathroom, where he turned on the shower.

Castiel closed the door and locked it. He opened up the medicine cabinet and pulled out a piece of cold metal that he has come a little bit too accustomed to.

Castiel pressed the blade to his forearm and felt his problems fade away as he dragged it across his scarred skin, blood dripped into the sink and a silent tear rolled down his cheek.

'Worthless piece of human shit.' He thought as he made another slice. 'Nobody will want you, you're tainted goods.'

After making about four incisions, Castiel decided that he should probably get ready for school.

He hopped into the shower and watched the remaining blood swirl down the drain.

When he was done bathing himself, he got out and pulled a sweater on followed by his trench coat.

Castiel scanned himself in the mirror and signed. 'I am shit' he thought to himself.

He walked out the door and headed to school, dreading seeing Dean.

Dean's POV

'Okay just talk to him,' Dean thought as he pulled out of his driveway. 'He's just an underclass men. You owe it to Sammy to be on good terms with the kid.'

Dean turned up the volume while he listened to the words of Foreigner.

As they pulled into the parking lot Dean spotted the familiar tan trench coat hustling into the school. He made his way out of the car followed by Sam, who was of course reading a new book.

Sam looked up just to make a small wave to Dean as they parted ways.

Dean went to his locker and started to put his books into his locker when he received a slap on the back which could only mean one thing.

"Hey Benny." Dean laughed.

"Hey brother, what're you up to this morning?" Benny asked.

"Well I was planning on attending my classes but something tells me that you have other plans for me."

A wide grin spread across Benny's face as he nodded.

"We are going to hang out with some college chicks," He bragged. "The kind that gets real horny when they're drunk."

"I think I'm gonna pass on this one Benny, but thanks for the offer." Dean said as he grabbed the books he needed for his first class of the day. He never liked the idea of taking advantage of girls while they were intoxicated. Yet again, the whole idea of girls these days was a little bit unsettling to him...

Dean shook it off and closed his locker before heading off to class.

Castiel's POV

'Just seven more hours,' he thought. 'Just seven more hours until I can go home and take a nap.'

Castiel didn't want to be here. He hated the thought of having to go to a place where barely anybody knew his name, and the few people who did barely noticed him.

The only thing he was looking forward to was lunch. He got to see Gabe and his friends.

He liked Gabriel. He was kind to him and let him into his group of friends. That one girl- Meg, Castiel thought her name was, was pretty cute. She definitely seemed interested, with all of the flirtatious looks she gave him.

He just wanted somebody to take his mind off of things for a while. A distraction. And he wondered if Meg would make a decent one.

Not like using her or anything, he did kind of like her. Well as much as you can like a person you've never really talked to.

'Well it wouldn't hurt to try' Castiel thought to himself as he pretended to write notes. 'It wouldn't hurt at all.
