Dean's POV

As Dean walked into art he spotted Castiel sitting in the back of the room, secluded, as always.

Dean walked back and sat next to Castiel.

"Hi Castiel." Dean said to the back of his trench coat. 'So I guess he's still pretty pissed.' Dean thought.

"Dean." Castiel replied without looking up from his project which seems to be a painting of an angel with a broken wing.

"Listen Castiel-" Dean started before getting interrupted by the teacher.

"Okay class let's settle down," the teacher began. "You're projects are due by the end of the week so start working on it." She sat down and started typing in her laptop.

Dean opened his mouth to finish his sentence but when he turned around Castiel was walking away to get paints for his project.

Dean got up and followed him to the cabinet that held all of the paints and brushes.

"Listen Castiel," Dean started. "I'm really sorry about what I said. I shouldn't have insulted your music taste. It was rude of me and hell, I get pissed when people insult Led Zeppelin."

Castiel tilted his head to the side and made that adorable confused puppy look.

"Really? You don't know Led Zeppelin?"

Castiel shook his head and Dean chuckled.

"Well I guess that's alright." Dean gave Castiel a warm smile and Castiel looked away. "So are we cool?"

"Yes Dean, we are cool." Castiel replied in the most sincere tone Dean had heard him speak in. Dean laughed at how formal his friend was.

Yes, friend. Dean was friends with Castiel.

Castiel's POV

Why did he have to do that cute smile? Castiel had to look away because he was afraid Dean would see him blushing.

At least they were on good terms. That was great.

Castiel grabbed some reds and blues for his project. He was going to paint an angel with a broken wing.

Just something about Angels fascinated him. He wasn't sure why, they just did.

When he sat down he saw that Dean was just painting different stripes and shapes. He smiled to himself at how artistically challenged Dean was.

He started to sketch out his plan into the canvas and it turned out even better than he had expected it to.

More time had gone by than he thought because by the time he was about to started painting the bell rang.

Castiel put his things away and walked out of the classroom before anybody else had even processed that the bell had rung.

He just really wanted to get to lunch where he could hang out with Gabriel and Sam and Charlie and Meg. He didn't look forward to much but seeing his friends was one of the things that got him really excited.

He walked out to the old tree they say under last time and waited for the rest of the group to come out.

The first person to come was Meg.

"Hey there trench coat." she said as she plopped down next to him. "So we're the first ones here." She scooted closer and whispered into his ear "Ya know we have just enough time to do it."

Castiel jumped back and looked at her in shock. Did she just say that? She started laughing.

"I'm kidding kid calm down," she said in between laughs. "But now that I think about it you are a pretty attractive peace of meat." She seemed to be examining him with her eyes and Castiel didn't know where she was going with this.

"How would you like to go see a movie later?" Meg asked.

Castiel wasn't sure what to say. This was really coming out of nowhere. Before he could even think about it she kissed him on the cheek and said "Pick me up at 8." And then she got up and walked towards the parking lot.

"Where are you going?" Castiel shouted after her. She turned her head around.

"Well if I'm going on a date I gotta get ready!" She shouted back.

Castiel wasn't sure what she was referring to shaving and he honestly didn't want to know.

But this was his first date. He was nervous.

As he was sitting there trying to work out what had just happened in his head, Gabe and Charlie walked over.

"Hiya Cassie!" Gabriel patted Castiel's shoulder and sat down.

"Sorry we're late," Charlie said through a fit of laughter. "We were having a debate on how long we think our English teacher's dick is."

"But Mrs. Talbot is a female." Castiel said as he cocked his head to the side. This seemed to make the two laugh even harder.

"We know." Charlie sighed.

"So," Gabriel clapped his hands together and looked at Castiel. "What'd we miss?"
