1 week after...
It's been a week after what I found out and until now, Dr. Muhlach haven't showed up yet to explain to me the details of what I missed. The details of what broke me.
Almost everyone in this hospital knows about what happened. They know that I have the foggiest idea of Charlene and Chariel existing and also, I think they also know that Dr. Muhlach is aware of the existence of Charlene and Chariel and now most of them feel sorry for me.
Dr. Zulueta told me that she doesn't also know about Charlene being pregnant. She only told me that Charlene was a doctor too in the hospital they were working at before transferring here. She didn't know that Aga and Charlene had romantic relationship.
Every time I walk on the hallway, they would look at me with pity and I don't like it. It makes me feel weak and fragile.
I soaked myself on work just to move my mind away from Dr. Muhlach and it works sometimes, but of course, at some point, it still goes back to my mind.
"She's brain dead," I announced to everyone in the room.
The doctors and nurses left the room and went back to their stations as I stayed there.
The patient's things are on the table located just beside her. Her phone, her bag, her wallet, and her necklace which the patient told me before the surgery that it is a gift from her Mom.
The phone rang and when I checked, Mom showed on the screen. Must be the patient's mother.
I breathe in first before swiping to answer the call.
"Hello," I answered.
"Hello, who are you? Where's my daughter?" asked the mother.
"Mrs. Robles, this is Dr. Salonga, your daughter's doctor," pakilala ko.
I feel sad sa sinapit ng kanyang anak. It was something that would surely break her heart.
"I'm so sorry, Mrs. Robles." I could hear her crying from the other line. The cry of pain, the cry of heart aches.
Saying sorry won't undo anything that just happened. Saying sorry is showing your feelings about what happened. It's a two-word that tells how you feel bad about what happened.

I was heading to the attendings' lounge with my coffee on my right hand and my white coat on my left.
I had a tiring but great day because I just performed a perfect surgery.
I opened the door and entered the room and when I closed the door to go sit on the sofa because I needed to sit, I saw Dr. Muhlach.
I planned to run but I remember that if I want explanation but when they're giving it to me, I keep on running way, that's stupidity. And I am not stupid.
"Hi!" he greeted shortly.
I didn't reply and just went to the cabinet to hang my white coat.
