Walking towards the door he heard a soft "Hey..." from behind him. He turned around to meet your eyes once again. They were soft, not carrying the annoyance from a while ago. "Thank you..." Nodding with a light hum, he proceeded to walk out the bathroom.

Before walking out yourself, you took a moment to look at yourself in the mirror. You were a mess, eye bags, hair everywhere and a little pale. Although you didn't look your best you looked soft, natural.

'Got shot and still look beautiful' that was the one sentence ringing in your mind. It made you smile a little. You'd probably look like a crazy person right now smiling at yourself in the mirror.

Tidying up your hair a bit you headed for your living room. What was the point of further fixing your appearance, especially after he'd seen you like this. With that in mind you left the bathroom.

Limping your way to the living room you looked around to see the fireplace still running and the sky being painted a beautiful colour of orange mixed reds and yellows. Sundown, was it already evening?
Then you see him standing in your kitchen..... His back was to you, was he cleaning?

"You shouldn't be walking, idiot" He says still with his back to you.

"Yeah maybe but I don't want to spend my time sitting on a toilet" You huffed.

"Just sit down"

"Don't tell me what to do, porcupine"

"Tch..."

You limped down to the two stools at the other side of the counter and sat down with a sigh. Letting your leg rest on the other. Now you could see what he was doing. He was wiping down the counter and when he finished, he turned to you. The boy shoved a water bottle across the counter. Catching it you opened the bottle and took a sip as he did the same.

Wow you didn't know how thirsty you were going to be after all this. Drinking like half the bottle you placed it back down and looked him saying:

"Does my savior have a name?"

A small chuckle left his lips. "Don't call me that!..... "Then he stayed silent as if he was contemplating telling you his name, a puzzled look on his face. Leaning his elbows on the counter and leveling his head with yours he said his name "Bakugou, Katsuki Bakugou"

That name sounded way too familiar and now actually seeing his face in full lighting-

"Wait, I recognize you, I've seen you walk around UA."

He raised his eyebrow as if offended that you didn't know who he was. "Of course you do, I'm the next number one hero" . Giving you a small smug side smile, he puffed up his chest just a bit while doing it.

"You really think that there's going to be the next number one hero?" Smirking, you watched his smile drop.

You were right. Everything has changed. There was no longer a hero commission, no longer a hero society. It was free for all. A see-how-long-you-can-last life. Not that you had faith in heroes in the first place. They told lies and thought that having a good image was more important than anything. They were heroes for fame, money, attention and praise. Not because they wanted to really save people. That has always frustrated you, especially the image part. How an individual can be so two faced.

"What's yours?"

"Hmm?"

"Your name dumbass"

"Right, Y/n L/n"

Bakugou paused, looking at you differently like something popped in his head....

"You're that flame girl out of recommendation, aren't you?"

"The one and only...."

'Flame girl out of recommendation'. Really? That's how he remembered you? You've been called a lot of things but this one's new. You were fucking awesome in your exam. Preparing for it your whole life and passing with flying colours. Ending in first place.

Which your father was very frustrated about. He thought that your brother was better than you, so when you finished first... Let's just say that it wasn't a five minute lecture.

Was it really your wish to be a hero? You didn't know. You were kind of forced in that direction, since you had 'so much potential'. It wasn't so bad though, you had your brother with you after all. But when you were placed in different hero classes, you would never admit it out loud but it got a bit lonely.

"How's your leg?"

"Better now... It's not hurting that much anymore."

"Good." He snarled. "Eat. I don't want your ass fainting on me again."

Again he shoved something across the table. It was a can of pre-packed soba. Soba.... You smiled, You remembered how- No, now is not the time to get emotional. Shaking yourself out of your train of thoughts, you began to eat.

"Sooooo, Bakugou, how long was I out for?"

His name left your lips so effortlessly. So easy. It has been months since he had heard his name coming from someone else. It was nice hearing it though, reassuring that he wasn't on his own anymore...

"For about a day and half I think, Your shit at keeping your place clean by the way"

Overly dramatic, you put one on your chest and said "Wow, way to attack me..."

"You did the same 1 hour ago, but with a knife" He couldn't have said it more monotone than that. Which was somewhat funny.

"Well that was your fault. If you didn't jump at me like that then I wouldn't have done that." You chirped not looking at him too focussed on your food. Occasionally taking bites.

"Jump at you, I didn't even touch you?!" He half yelled.

He stared at you, waiting for a response, for something. You didn't even budge at the sudden outburst. That angered him. Most people were afraid of him. Why weren't you? You knew that he was physically stronger than you, especially now. So why didn't you seem phased at all? You just ate your food as you chuckled. Were you laughing at him?!

"Just hush it boom boy~" You giggled.

He was about to open his mouth to retort back before he fell silent. He liked the banter going on between you two. So did you. But how did you figure his quirk out so quickly, he didn't even use it when you were awake. Let alone give you any hints that he had one in the first place.

"How did you-"

"Know?" You finished his sentence for him. "I didn't, but thanks for confirming" Meeting his eyes your lip curved from amusement when you watched his expression change. Now he was confused. He blinked a few times but didn't say anything.

Taking that as a hint you started to explain.

"It was quite easy to put together actually..... First the sweet scent of nitroglycerin that is oozing off of you. A highly flammable and unstable element that is easy to recognize."

You proudly continued. Seeing how his eyebrows raised just a little. "Second, your palms. The temperature of your hands rose the more they were in contact with my skin. I didn't sense any other chemical or place that was coming from your body. So either you have a flame or an explosion quirk. But because of the instability of nitroglycerin I chose to go with explosions, and I was right."

Never did he expect you to be so observant. Most of those 'extra's' he has dealed with were short sighted or just plain stupid. Like the ones in his class. He was quite impressed but he would never admit it out loud.

"Well since you know my quirk, what's yours?" Was all he said. Completely dismissing everything you just said. Yes he had seen it but only a fraction. He saw your fire but he didn't know you could recognize nitroglycerin. What more can you do?

"Oh come on, I went through all this trouble to observe and figure you out. Don't you think I deserve a little credit?~"
