October comes around which means, so does the bitter cold air, the leaves falling from the trees and I get a year older. An exact week before all Hallows eve, is my birthday. And that just so happens to be today. I message the group chat that Ashley had put together so we could organise group things:
ME: Hey I'm having a special occasion meal tonight, and I would be delighted if you could all make it. Lilly x
Ash: I would love too x
Jay: Me too count me in x
Billy: I'm game x
Diana: The boss has spoken
Aaron: YEAAAAAAAAAH FREE FOOD! It best be amazing x
Z: I'm sure Tige's cooking is more than amazing. I'll be there xxx
AG: What's the occasion? x
Me: I'll tell you all when you arrive x
Ash: Oh My God! YOU'RE PREGNANT! ZAK WHAT DID YOU DO?! ;) x
Me: WHAT!?!?!?
Z: WHAT!?!?!?
Me: NO! I'm not pregnant believe me, and I'll tell you all when you get here just don't over dress it's nothing important x See you all later x
I close my phone and prepare a meal for us all to enjoy. I know its a weird combo of food but here me out. For starters, there is a choice of chicken and vegetable soup or ox tail soup (Homemade) Main course, we are having a mixed meaat stew and dumplings, can't go wrong with dumplings. I'll ask what veg they want when they arrive. And then for desert a cookie dough pie baked and piping hot. I get to starting on the stew as that takes the longest to cook. I then run upstairs to get changed.

As I look thinking to myself...Is this too much?...My door bell rings.
"Too late." I say out loud. I run down the stairs and swing open the door. (I had previously text the address and time. Even though I've been friends with Zak for over a year, he never asked where I lived. I just thought he was being polite.) My eyes are greeted with the wonderful sight of my friends.
"Woah!" Says Ashley. "Where have you been hiding this side of you?"
"Uhhh, in the closet I guess."
"Well I'm glad to see you are finally coming out." Ashley joke.
"Just get in." I smile.
"And this house is astounding." Ashley adds as she gawks at the vast opening to the house.
