"I'm in the wrong universe....." Megumi x reader

Chapter 4

     Sorry I was busy with summer and now I have school so now it's hard, also I think I'm going to make Megumi the love interest unless y'all want someone else. I'm also going to try to write as much as I can  --A/N

   Sitting on there on the steps knowing that someone I just met and wanting to get to know better died and I couldn't do anything. I was on the steps being a bit behind of Megumi and Nobara.

   "Live a long life?" Doesn't mean much when you go and die yourself, Is this your first time having a partner die?" Nobara said I guessing she was talking to both of us. I just stayed quiet while Megumi said "first time for one my age." 

   "Y/N what about you?" I just looked at her and shock my head. "Well, you two seem to be taking it well, considering." Nobara said I was just looking up at the sky not knowing how to take this.

  "Same with you." Megumi replied back then Nobara kept the conversation going. "Of course. I only knew him for about two weeks. I'm not some simple woman who breaks down bawling when a guy I barely knows dies. Jeez." I could tell by the tone of Nobara's voice she really is sad.

   "It's hot, huh?" Megumi said changing the subject quickly. "Yea, I wonder if it's time for summer uniforms. While they were talking I was looking up and I'll admit it I was tearing up a bit, but why I had people in my life before die? why was now different?

   As we were sitting there I heard someone walking towards us I didn't really bother to look up until she started talking. "What's this, you're looking more bum'd out then usual Megumi" I got a good look at her she was carrying something behind her back, she also had dark green hair and glasses, "What's up Zenin" Megumi had said back to her "Stop calling me by my last name" "Maki Maki" I looked to what was calling her and it was a Panda!? wait why am I freaking out I'm kind of use to this.

  "Hey, I'm talking here shut up" clearly she doesn't like be interrupted. Then the panda talked back to her and said "Are you serious right now! you don't know why they're so down!" the girl named Maki didn't look confused but still asked, "No should I" the panda called back to her, "Somebody died yesterday! A boy, he was a first year" then the boy next to him said "bento flakes" huh? bento flakes?  I was really confused. 

    Maki then looked back at them shocked and a bit sweaty "Why didn't you say so, Now I look like some kind heartless cold blooded ice demon" she yelled back at the panda. "Yea, that's how you came off" he called back if I wasn't sad right now I would have snickered. "tuna mayo" what's up with that boy? 

      While Maki was yelling at them, Megumi was unamused and me and Nobara were sitting there confused. Nobara finally asked the big question "So who are these guys?" the unamused Megumi said "The second years"

   I went back to what the second years were saying "You have to try to be kinder to your underclassmen" Panda told Maki "Hey, being soft on them isn't going to help them" Maki replied. I muttered under my breath "she's not wrong". 

    Then Megumi went on to tell us more about the second years "Zenin is the best of all the students at wielding cursed tools." "Salmon" why does he keeps saying ingredient's?   " And that's the cursed speech user Inumaki, he can only speak in ingredient's of rice bowls" I did a oohh face. "He's a little bit softer when Yuta around tho" the panda said I assume talking about Inumaki. 

   "And that's Panda" so his name is what he is great, Megumi still looked unamused and now so did Nobara, I sat there a little interested. "There's one more, his name is Okkotsu and he's the only actual second year I genuinely respect" Megumi stands up with me and Nobara staring at with while he continues talking "But, he's over sea's right now" "Panda that's all you're giving me?" "That's what you're worried about Nobara?" she looks back at me and shrugs.

   Then Panda went to say "Sorry to hit you up with this now while you're in mourning, bad timing." he has his hands together and then he bows his head, "please forgive us for that" then he brought his head back up "But see, we'd like you three to be in the Kyoto sister school exchange event"

  Nobara and I were now standing next to Megumi and went on to say confused "Kyoto sister school exchange event" then Nobara looked at Megumi and asked "What is that?"  Megumi then started to explain "It's a get together with the other tech school in Kyoto" he looked at the second years and said "But, isn't that mainly for second and third year student's?"

  "Turns out the idiot third years got themselves suspended, so you need to participate" I just kind of stayed in the back quiet while Nobara asked "so what exactly do you do at this event, smash bro's? I rule at the WII version" Nobara then put up her first "I'll meter smash you guys" 

   "we'll make a three man team, the whole event starts with the principals of the Tokyo and Kyoto schools, each principal purposes a form of competition that will be held for entire day over the course of two days, at least that's how suppose to go" Panda explained to us. Then continued "It goes like this, day 1 team battles and day 2 is induvial battles" then Inumaki said "salmon" I think he was agreeing with Panda?

   "Team battles and induvial, you mean we fight other Jujutsu sorcerers!?" 'back in my world we would do this stuff all the time this should be easy' i thought to myself . Maki smiled "Yea, there's Jujutsu battles where anything short of killing is fair game" 'yea no not much different then my world'  Panda went into a fighting stance "don't worry, we'll train you up sooo, you probably won't die" Panda started punching the air 

   "Do we have enough Jujutsu sorcerers? I thought we were really short, do you have the time?" Nobara question and Panda answered her "Hey, good question. For now we're good. The dark emotions people hamper from late winter through spring cause a outburst of curses in early summer. So, that's our busy season" "Sometimes we're busy all year long but, thing should be settling here soon enough." Maki added 

  "Yea?" Nobara sounded confused. "So, are you are you in. I understand your partner just died." Maki asked us. While doing cool poses we all three said "We're in" Then Nobara "Cause I' then Megumi "Cause I" then me said "Cause I" "have to get stronger, and I'll do anything to achieve that." we all said at the same time thinking about Yuji. "But, if I decide your training exchange is pointless I'll quit instantly" Nobara said while Megumi added "same here" I chime in and say "I've done this stuff plenty of times so tired to make it challenging for me."

    Maki just huh'd with Panda saying "Well, people this cocky is all the more worth while to train" Inumaki just said "Bento flakes"

  After I we the second years left I went to by dorm, I was just sitting there thinking about what has happened in the last 1 and a half weeks. Then I hear a knock at my door. "Come in!" I yelled to whoever was on the other side of the door and to my surprise it was "Megumi? what are you doing here" He walked in and shut the door behind him. 

  "I wanted to see how you were holding up with everything that's going on" He said "Oh well it's been fine I guess a bit overwhelming" I as I was saying that I was looking down. After a few seconds go by Megumi says "what did they do to you" I just look up at him surprise "huh? what do you mean" Megumi looked to the side and signed "nevermind, goodnight Y/N" And with that he left and left me there confused for the rest of the night.
