"C'mon Hatsuko!"
Ashido had dragged me to the mall with her to shop for the upcoming camping field trip and I was not having it. After all, I had only run into her at a shoe store a couple blocks down and she wouldn't leave me alone.
"Why do we need to shop here?" I asked, looking up at the sign that advertised the store's stocks of beauty products with a single shopping back in hand.
"Because! You never know when you're going to need an emergency supply of makeup!" She tugged on my arm as she started walking in but I didn't budge.
"I am not going to be caught dead wearing makeup at a training camp." I said, making her pout.
"C'mon! Please?" She batted her eyes.
"No. I'm going to go get coffee." I said, walking away
I could hear her groan behind me, but I didn't care. I walked into the small coffee shop, a small line in front of me, and ordered my usual. As soon as I took my wallet out of the messenger bag draped across my shoulders, the barista stopped me.
"Uhm, the lady before you actually paid for your order." She pointed to a girl sitting in a booth in the back.
"Oh, alright." I put my wallet away and the barista handed me the receipt with my order number on it.
I stepped to the side of the line and glanced over at the girl who paid for my order. I was a little confused on how she knew what I would order, but then again, she could just go back and pay for it. I looked over at her again, and I realized. That was the same girl that beat blondie during the sport's festival. I think her name is Fukustu, though, I'm not quite sure.
"Why would she-" I thought to myself before we made eye contact and her face lit up.
"Hey! Over here!" She waved at me, raising her voice just enough so people gave her weird looks.
I covered half of my face with my hand, walking over and sitting down next to her in the booth.
"Why did you pay for my drink?" I asked, observing her lively expression.
"Because I wanted to... and I wanted to ask you some things..." She broke eye contact with me, her expression slightly falling.
I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What kind of "things"?" I asked, pulling my bag above my head and setting it beside me.
"Well... who exactly was that guy that showed up during training?" She asked, tilting her head ever so slightly to the side.
I shouldn't trust her, let alone give away the identity of my brother.
"If you don't feel comfortable telling me, that's fine too, I was just a little curious." She says, smiling apologetically.
I sigh.
"Sorry. I don't get asked questions like this a lot, let alone by someone I barely know." I said, looking down at my lap.
"Right, about that-" She started.
"Hey! You're the girl from U.A., right? Congratulations on winning the sport's festival!" A lady is now standing in front of our table. She has light brown hair and pale skin with freckles and green eyes.
"Oh, thanks!" Kaminoko replies, abandoning her last remarks towards me.
"You did great too, by the way!" She looks at me, smiling.
"Oh... thanks..." I say, breaking eye contact with her.
"I'm Hanna, by the way." she says, shaking hands with Fukutsu.
I can see Fukutsu's eyes widen a little, but she maintains a cheerful expression.
"I love that name! It's so... Classic!" Fukutsu says, giggling.
"Yeah..." Hanna looks a little weirded out, but let's go of Fukutsu's hand.
"Can I have your number? I'd love to keep talking!" Fukutsu asks, pulling out her phone.
"Oh, sure!" Hanna said, pulling her phone out of her back pocket as well.
They typed their numbers into each other's phones, Hanna turning to me after handing Fukutsu's phone back.
"Can I have your number too? You seem pretty nice!" She said, holding her phone out.
"She'd love that!" Fuktsu exclaimed, grabbing my phone and handing it to her.
"You little-" I started before the barista called my name, setting a cup of coffee on the pick up counter.
I shot a death glare at Fukutsu before getting up.
I take my time making my way towards the counter, gingerly pacing my hand on the cup and picking it up. I turned around, placing my eyes on the table Hanna and Fukutsu were just sitting at, but, to my surprise, they weren't there anymore.
I scowled, taking a sip of my coffee while walking back to the booth.
I sat down, taking in the silence surrounding me, when my phone buzzed in my bag.Slightly confused, I pulled it out and clicked the notification, which took me to the messages app.
"I know what He did." It said
