CARTERS POV

"Yo,dude you comin"?I look at my friend Cam then my phone.It reads

If you really love me,come.😶❤️

"Dude I'm gonna have to take a ran check on that".I say and run into the school to run to the one I love.

CHRISSY'S POV

"Nice to see your face Mr.Reynolds ".I look up to see him.He loves me.He loves me!He takes a seat next to me and takes my hand into his.I look at his beautiful face the whole time.When the bell rings he drags me into his car."Where are you taking me"?I chuckle.

"Can't say".Soon we are in front of a really big house."This yours"?I ask him.

"Well my mom and stepdad own it but yah,it's mine".He grabs my hand and opens the door to his house.He leads me to the kitchen that has a note on the frig.

I look at him.He looks scared."Umm sorry.Lets just go upstairs".He holds my hand tighter while we go upstairs.We both sit on his bed."So what are we gonna do bout this project"?

"What project"?He laughs.Oh god I love his laugh,and his smile."Mrs.Mckeen paired us up for a math pie chart project".

"Oh,I wasn't really paying attention".
"Well let's start".I sit on his lap and lean in."Maybe later".He holds onto my hips.He kisses me violently.I kiss him back."Carter".I go to take off his shirt and he winces in pain. He still lets me takeoff his shirt.When I do I touch his back.He jumps up and stands up and leans himself on a wall."Shit Chrissy that hurt"!I get up and walk towards him."Carter turn around".He is hesitant but then turns around.My jaw drops.On his back are a lot of giant cuts."Carter?Who did this to you"?I whisper in shock.He turns around."Im not weak".

"I know that baby so please just tell me".
"My stepdad.He is drunk all the time".

"I understand".
"You do"?He ask me.
"Ever since my dad...died my mom is drunk all the time".

"Does she hurt you too"?
"No I Umm,Do that myself".He looks confused but I don't say anything.My eyes soon travel to his abs."It is not okay to stare".He say jokingly.I feel my face get red."What do you want"?He ask me."You".
"I love you".He whispers.

LATER THAT DAY

"Bye Carter".As say as I get out of his car.

"Can I come in"?
"No.Its fine".I kiss him and leave.When I open the door I hear screaming and glass breaking.All of a sudden my mom pushes me against the wall.My head starts bleeding again."Ow mom"!She throws glass at my head but misses."Mom"!
"Your a mistake"!She yells.
"Mom.Your drunk".I say trying to calm her down but instead she charges at me.I fall down to the floor and she takes a chair and it breaks against my leg."AHHH".I scream in pain.I push my mom to the floor then lock myself in the bathroom.I hear her knock on the door."Your gonna have to come out someday but for now I'm going with to my friends to a bar I'll be back tomorrow".I hear the front door close.I quickly call Carter.

CARTERS POV

"dude your lying".Matthew tells Cam."No dude I swear-".My phone goes off."Dude go answer that".Nash says.I go into the bathroom.
"Hello babe".
"Carter I'm in the bathroom in my house and I can't move".
A wave of anxiety comes over me.
"What do you mean you can't move"?I ask getting into my car.
"My mom was drunk and banged my head against the wall and I'm loosing a lot of blood,and she slammed a wooden chair against my leg and I can't move!Carter help me"!She says crying.
"Baby I'm almost there stay with me okay"!
"hmm mm".
I quickly drive into her house and run to the bathroom."Baby it's me open the door".
"I can't reach it".I break down the door to see a lot of blood.Her leg looks twisted.I take out my phone.
"Hello this is 911 what is your emergency"?
"I just came to my girlfriend's house and there is a lot of blood,and her leg looks broken.She looks really pale and I don't know what to do.Im kind of freaking out".
"Okay sir calm down.We have an ambulance on its way".
"Please stay on the phone with me.I don't know what to"!
"Sir you are wearing a shirt right"?
"Yes.Why"?
"Wrap it around her head to stop the bleeding".I do as she says.Soon I hear sirens outside the house."It's okay baby the people are going to take care of you okay".Chrissy nods.

"Excuse me sir is the ambulance here"?

"Yes and thank you".

"It's my job sir".She says then hangs up.Soon a bunch of people come running in with a gurney and bring Chrissy into the ambulance.They ask me to go with her but then I realize it's 6:00,and my mom is home alone...with the monster.

I go home to hear yelling and banging.When I walk in I see my mom being held tightly be her arms by Will."Will let go of her"!He turns to me."You"!He starts taking off his belt."You mistake"!He swings his belt towards me hitting my face."Will!Stop you will hurt his face"!My mom yells.He looks at me,then my mom."Im going out".He leaves.My mom comes rushing towards me."Baby are you okay"?She brings a tissue to my face.

"Why?Why him".
"Why not"?I get up angry and lock myself in my room.I fall asleep dreaming of what my life would be like without a monster in my life.
