Chris's P.O.V.
Chris had been relaxing on the beach, laid back in the folding chair as the sun hit his face. Not a care in the world, as it was a supposed day off. It never really was a day off but he took any day he wasn't meant to work while he could. His gun strapped to his holster on his black cargo pants, to blend in away from being noticeable to the human eye. It was nearly a hundred degrees out, and sweat had to be continuously wiped it from his forehead. There wasn't a day where flashbacks hadn't left alone, and lately had been the Village. The god forsaken village, that changed everything. Losing one of his close friends, watching Rose grow up and working with him, as well as protecting her like Ethan would have wanted. Rose had wanted to follow in Ethans footsteps.
His phone started to ring, awaking him out of day dreaming and thoughts that ran through his head. He sighed irritated, knowing it was to good to be true having a full day off. Whatever it was it had better been important.
"This is Alpha, what is it?" He sat up, looking at the scars that ran along his hand.
"Chris... it's Rose, we need to talk..." She said, sounding distressed. Chris straightened and stood up, slipping his shirt back on and grabbing his utilities, and walked back to his truck, getting in.
"Rose what is it?" He asked, staying calm. He knew by the panic in her voice that it wasn't good news he just hoped that she was alright, but if she had calling from the station she should have been in good hands.
"Come to the station." She hung up.
He finally reached the station, and rushed inside to the building. Assuming he was in his training room. He looked at her standing there, with a couple of his men. "I assume it's no ones birthday so what is the problem now?" He asked, still remaining calm. It was the only emotion he could show to show he wasn't weak.
Rose gave him a strange look. "We..well some of the men went back to the village.. the one you told me about, with dad and well..it's back. The mold is back, and there was and has been signs of life. Human life.
Chris's heart dropped. Not liking the fact about them investigating something that should have been dropped a very long time ago. But now he was curious. No one should have been at the village, alive. He leaned against the wall. "Gather the men, trucks and helicopters, and planes we are to head back to the Village and find this person, if it's the last thing I do."
