You woke up, next to Chris. He was already up, of course he was. He was on watch. He sat against the davenport, looking down at you. "That's the most peaceful I've seen you, since being with us." He chuckled. "Maybe you should sleep more often, although I'd think I'd miss your sarcastic remarks towards me."
"I'll keep that in mind, Redfield." You smiled at him, catching him in a relaxed mood. Knowing it wasn't going to last long but you were bound to keep it up as long as you could. "What is the plan?" You asked.
"Stay here for a night or two, I got men everywhere even to supply us food, the goal is to keep you safe and alive before we head to Dimitrescu's castle to see if there is anything stirring up...we have a feeling since everything seems to be coming back...maybe the four lords are regenerating again probably stronger then before." He said. You flinched, thinking about it. You had heard stories about them, but never truly seen them and all there glory when Mother Miranda had came through the village. You watched the flames flicker lowly, shivering a bit. There was no use hiding and keeping the fire low when there was men and woman all over the village with weapons. Surely if there were anyone here they definitely knew now. "Do you remember the lords?" Chris asked, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"I heard stories, but never seen them. Well maybe Lord Heisenberg.. that I can vaguely remember with my memories coming back.. he always brought some weird..mechanical beings with him.. I never knew what he was trying to prove but I don't think he meant entirely to much harm except against Mother Miranda." You left out the part where he had spoken to you, and invited you back to his factory not knowing what he had planned, besides the plan of turning you into a problematic machine. You shuttered at the thought. "Lord Moreau, didn't come out much... and neither did the other two lords." You told him, the honest truth. There was no point in lying at this point.
"Heisenberg is the dangerous one I'm worried about coming back, the others I'm sure we will be able to handle." He looked at you then. Noticing you're shivering. He poked at the fire. Lightening it up a little. "I'll go and have them grab food, get closer to the heat." He said, as he got up and walked out. You looked outside through the small cracks, of the boarded up windows towards Lady Dimitrescu's castle, not knowing if it was your imagination but you swore you seen a dim light come from one of the rooms. Your heart raced. Maybe they were all right. Maybe the Lords were coming back, and with revenge.
(Little story again! I'm finally getting back into my writing mojo, and my RE, and RdR moods are definitely coming back so prepare for some stories again! Some smut might happen next chapter, who's ready?)
