Chris steadied you, and looked at the man that had ran up to them. "What do you mean, something awakened under the village whatever was there years ago should have been untraceable." He said, an concerned tone to his voice. He loosened his grip on you, and gently pushed you off of him, but kept a grip on your arm as he strode down the hall. "Get (Y/N) to vehicle, and take them to the bunker. I'll be there shortly once we track whatever this thing is underground." He looked at you for a long hesitant moment, not sure if he wanted to leave you alone. Knowing there was still little trust, you couldn't blame him. Especially when you had little memory of what the village was like, besides the fading memories that seemed to slowly start coming back. Whatever was awakening under the Village, something was awakening in you too.
~~
It's been a few hours, and you were bound up in vehicle with no notion or word from Chris. Was he dead? Or had something or someone captured him? Your heart felt a little pull at the thought, thinking somehow it was your fault, for whatever was happening. Or if anyone had died. A sudden burst of the doors to the vehicle busted you out of your thoughts. Chris stood there, a little scuffed up, and some of his shirt and jacket were torn. You looked at the skin, that showed through the torn black fabric, until you gazed up meeting his eyes.
"Sir?" His lieutenant that I had been sitting with in the truck for hours with, finally spoke breaking the awkward few moments of silence. Chris's eyes were on you, as he breathed trying to catch his breath as if he ran around half of the country.
"You are sure... that you don't know anything about this shit? Anything about the village or what the fuck is contained, in it?" He said. There it was the blame, you knew was coming as soon as the doors opened.
"No, I don't why would I waste my breath lying to you when I really don't recall anything, except the few memories I have already told you." You snapped at him, finally having it over it being the millionth time of being questioned about it, it was on your last nerve. He got in and shut the doors. telling the driver the coordinates where to go. He sat down next to you, wincing a bit in pain.
"Listen... I am sorry Y/N, I should not have snapped. I deserve you snapping back at me. I don't know what it is, but we went down to observe it and it is definitely the mold. Along with those lycans...everything is seeming to come back, I don't know how, or why. I am really hoping you are not the cause of this somehow, because you seem like a genuine nice person, if that's what you even are." He said, leaning his head back against the metal of the truck. The words hit you a bit, but maybe he was right. Maybe you were not all human, maybe you were some sort of monster or whatever he said about bioweapons, but surely you would have found out already. Whatever and why ever the mold was back you were bound to find the same way they would.
"Chris Redfield, I don't know any more then you.. but I will help you, whatever is happening I am not against you. The village... the village is my home."
(Sorry this chapter is so short, it was a filler chapter for me being gone for a while! More is coming soon!! Promise)
