The Baby Shower

Emilie had just finished wrapping her gift for Daisy's baby shower.Her,and Donald had recently found out the genders of their eggs.One boy,one girl.
'Must be a genetic thing on Donald's side.' thought Emilie thinking of Donald,and Della being twins, and Huey,Dewey, and Louie being triplets.
Emilie left her house wondering what the baby shower would be like.She never been to one given how she was raised.She hoped she didn't do anything embarrassing.Thankfully,Della also invited Penumbra,so Emilie wouldn't be alone in confusion about the way of baby showers.Della seemed to invited a lot of people to Daisy's baby shower.Her,Penumbra,Mrs.Beakley,Gandra,Officer Cabrera,Goldie,Courtney,Dickie,her favorite sisters,Izzy,Danielle, and Kelly.
Emilie got to the shower by bus as she didn't know how to drive.Growing up in New York,she didn't see any reason.But Emilie made it on time,she just hoped there were no surprises.
"Hello,Della's second-tier friend Emilie."said Penumbra when Emilie approached her.
"Hi,Penumbra."said Emilie as she walked besides her. "What did you get Daisy?"
"Training spears."
"Training spears?"
"Yes.So the little Donald, and little Daisy will be ready in any deadly situation."
"Huh.Interesting.I'm giving Daisy my mother's old book about raising twins.Mama used it when Bill,and Joe were babies."
"An instruction manual.How very useful."
"Hey!We're at the front door!"pointed out Emilie while pointing at the front doors of McDuck Manor.Emilie knocked on the door.
"Hey party people!Welcome to the huzz-se!"answered Della with her arms in the air.Penumbra responded with a confused look on her face while Emilie face palmed herself.
"Della,please no." Emilie said.
"Why not?"said Della letting them in. "There's a par-ty going on!"
"Because that phase is from the 90's."
"Doesn't mean I can't say it."
"Yes it does.You're aging yourself."said Emilie as she put her present on the table. "Am I the only one who brought Daisy one gift?"
"Mostly."said Della shamelessly.
"Oh."said Emilie,feeling embarrassed.
'Even Penumbra knew to bring two gifts.' she thought.
"But not everybody's here yet."said Della,detecting Emilie's disappointment in herself. "Come on!" gestured Della towards Emilie, and Penumbra outside.
There,Mrs.Beakley,Gandra,Dickie, and Emilie's sisters were there with Daisy sitting in a wicker chair.In fact,the whole thing looked like a garden party.A weird garden party with a baby theme.Emilie, and Penumbra entered the party passing Danielle, and Dickie talking.
"So,how would I know if she's into me?" Emilie heard Dickie ask Danielle.
"Excuse me,Emilie, I would like to partake in your sister's, and Dickie's conversation."said Penumbra going towards Danielle, and Dickie.
"Okay."said Emilie,suddenly feeling lonely.She noticed Mrs.Beakley talking to Daisy,while Gandra was talking to Izzy,and Kelly.Emilie decided to head over to the latter group's direction.
"Hi."said Emilie when she arrived where Gandra,Izzy,and Kelly were.
"Hi Emilie!"said Izzy. "Gandra, and I were just talking about the gifts I got for Daisy."
"Wedding rings."said Kelly.
"Wedding rings?"said Emilie in confusion.At least her gift was practical.And made sense.
"Yeah.That's what I said."said Gandra.
"And before you came over Emilie, I said it's not for Donald, and Daisy.It's for the twins!"explained Izzy.
"Ohhh.That makes sense."said Emilie.
"How?"asked Gandra.
"Izzy can see into the future."said Kelly.
"Yeah,the wedding rings still don't make sense."said Gandra as Goldie, and Courtney entered the party.Neither looked happy to be with each other, but lighten up when Dickie went towards them.
"Oh,that's because I predicted the next eight generations of the Duck family."said Izzy.
"Huh,interesting."said Gandra with a smirk on her beak. "So,what can you tell us about the next few generations?"
"Tragedy."
"Not-what I was expecting."
"That's what happens when you're born-or marry into-the Duck family."
"Okay."said Emilie awkwardly,not wanting to think of the impending doom awaiting the Duck family. "So what did everyone get Daisy? I got her Mama's old book about raising twins."
"I got Daisy Duplo blocks."said Kelly.
"What about you Gandra?"
"A book of stories.Reading to children at an early age is good for them."answered Gandra.Suddenly shouting was heard outside the party causing everybody's head to turn towards the direction of the shouting.
"You invited Pepper?"shouted Della.
"I didn't know these things had drama."said Emilie.
"They usually don't."said Mrs.Beakley bitterly,clearly not happy about her F.O.W.L. daughter being at McDuck Manor.Della,and Officer Cabrara appeared with Pepper.And Webby.
"What's going on?"demanded Mrs.Beakley as she approached Della,Officer Cabrara,Pepper, and Webby.
"This F.O.W.L. agent said that Webby invited her."said Officer Cabrara.
"Webby,is this true?"
"Yes."said Webby quietly.
"Why?She's a F.O.W.L. agent!"
"She's also my mom! I should have a right to know her as something other than a F.O.W.L. agent!"
"Don't worry Mrs.Beakley,I'll be keeping an eye on Pepper."said Officer Cabrara as she lead Pepper in.Webby tried to follow them but was stopped by her grandmother.
"Webby.No."Mrs.Beakley insisted.Webby pouted, and turned around.
"Now,let's get this par-ty started!"said Della when Webby was gone.
"So,what do we do at these things?"asked Emilie. "Just watch Daisy open her presents then leave?"
"No,we play games!Then watch Daisy open her presents!"
"Like what?Drunk Twister?"
"That sounds fun!" said Goldie with a smile. "Are we going to do that?"
"No.We're going to play some baby related games.The first one is 'Find the babies!'"said Della.
"They're right there."said Emilie pointing at the eggs that Daisy was holding.
"Are you sure we can't play Drunk Twister?"asked Gandra.
"No,no,no."said Della. "I've had Uncle Scrooge hide two baby dolls in the house,we split into groups of two, and whichever group finds one, or both baby dolls wins!"
"Wins what?"asked Penumbra.
"The game!"
"But what is our prize?"
"Uhhh....this cupcake!"said Della picking up a random cupcake from the table. "Now everybody partner up!"
Emilie moaned inwardly.She hated working in groups of two.Even as an adult,she always got stuck with someone who was horrible in some way.Thankfully,her favorite sisters were here,so she's sure it won't be bad.Unfortunately,Danielle, and Kelly had already teamed up with each other while Izzy had teamed up with Daisy.
'Figures.'thought Emilie.
"Hey,you wanna team up?" asked Gandra.
"Alright."said Emilie.At least she won't be horrible in some way.
"Okay!"said Della,who obviously teamed up with Penumbra. "Let the game begin!"Everybody began to walk towards the mansion,only to find Webby in the way.With the baby dolls in her arms.
"Webby!"said Della.
"I won!So can I join the party now?"asked Webby.
"How did you know what we were going to do?"asked Mrs.Beakley.
"I was eavesdropping."
"I'm so proud of her."said Pepper.Webby smiled.
"This party is over!"said Mrs.Beakley.
"Yeah!"cheered Emilie,Gandra, and Goldie.
"But the games I planned!"protested Della.
"And my presents!"added Daisy.
"Fine."said Mrs.Beakley. "After the presents the baby shower's over."
"Oh,good."said Daisy.
"But what about the games I planned?"asked Della.
"Those are now canceled."said Mrs.Beakley firmly.
"Stupid Pepper.Stupid F.O.W.L. Ruining everything."complained Della with her arms crossed as Mrs.Beakley went to get the presents that everybody got Daisy.It didn't take long due to how strong Mrs.Beakley was.It actually took her only two trips.
"Okay,all the presents are here."said Mrs.Beakley when she put the last present down in front of Daisy, and her eggs.
"Okay,who's presents should I open first?"said Daisy.
"Oo!Oo!"said Della,sounding like a monkey. "Open mine!Open mine!"
"Okay,okay!"laughed Daisy reaching for Della's presents to open. "Toy airplanes?"
"Yeah!It'll show your kids how much fun aviation is!"
"Um,okay.Who's next?"
"Open mine."said Goldie. "I guarantee that you'll love it."
"That sounds ominous."stated Courtney.
"Oh, I'm sure it's fine."said Daisy reaching for Goldie's presents. "A pearl, and a sapphire?Goldie,you were aware that the presents are meant for the babies,not me,right?"
"Those aren't an ordinary pearl, and sapphire.It's the Pearl of All Knowledge, and the Sapphire of Seeing. I stole them so your kids would appreciate treasure."
"Stolen!?Goldie! I can't keep these!"
"Why not?"
"It's stolen!"
"Okay,then I'll take them!"
"Mom!Did you plan this all along?"demanded Courtney.
"Why do you always assume the worst?"demanded Goldie.
"Hey,why don't you open my presents next,Daisy?"suggested Dickie.Daisy grabbed Dickie's gifts.
"Crayons!"said Daisy. "How cute!"
"Open mine, and Emilie's next.They're actually useful."said Gandra.Emilie eyes widened.Everyone brought their gifts.She was giving Daisy something that was already used.Why?Why? Did she come to this thing?
"A collection of stories?Oh,this will definitely come in handy when it's time for the twins to go to bed.Now,for Emilie's gift."said Daisy as she began to open Emilie's present. "A book about raising twins?How useful!"
"Thanks!"said Emilie,hoping Danielle wasn't mad at her. "It was Mama's."
"Awww,thank you."
"Open mine next."insisted Penumbra. "My gifts are the most useful."
"Spears?"questioned Daisy after she opened Penumbra's gifts.
"It'll teach the little Donald, and little Daisy to prepare for any situation."
"Um,okay.Whose presents should I open next?"
"Mine. I just hope you don't have them yet."said Mrs.Beakley.
"Where's your's?"
"The big ones."
When Daisy opened them it was revealed that they were strollers.Daisy next opened Officer Cabrera's gifts which was two baby photo books.Daisy also got a book about world history from Courtney,some drums from Pepper,two kitty plushies from Danielle,and Duplo Blocks from Kelly.But the presents that got the biggest response from Daisy was Izzy's.
"Wedding rings?"Daisy asked.
"For when your kids get married.I already predicted who they're going to marry."explained Izzy.
"Oh-oh-okay."said Daisy,clearly baffled. "Well...I opened all my presents...so....baby shower's over?"
"Yes."said Mrs.Beakley looking sideways at Pepper.
"Aw,pahooey."said Della.But,rather Della liked it or not,the baby shower was over.Much to Emilie's happiness,who told herself she wasn't going to another one.
