Dear Readers, I on accident posted this before finishining it, and didn't really know if I could delete the chapter. So I just finsihed it quickly before people read it, thus some parts might not be all that good. I realize that this is a short chapter, but it's and important one. You may notice there is a different name for the girl in this "Memory"...no, I'm not crazy...you shall see what this means, later. Hope you like it! And as always pictures are on photobucket.com, and I'll me making a map of the Mclanes soon.

Thanks, hope you like it!

Chapter 9 …that night

Caitirina~

I had been waiting hours in my room for the men to go to their rooms. It had to be at least midnight, it had taken the men quite awhile to settle down.

I had donned a cloak I found in one of the trunks, covering my face. Hoping if anyone saw me they would just think me a serving girl coming to “warm” one of the men’s beds. I reached the stairs and quickly but quietly went down them, thankful for the flats that made me virtually silent. I came to the door and put up my fist, ready to knock, but didn’t want to draw any attention. So I decided to come in the way I had before.

I warily placed my index finger on the sharp tooth and applied pressure allowing my blood to drip into the mouth of the great panther head. The door made a soft click before it popped open. I silently slipped inside, closing the door closed behind me. I turned, no lights were on, just as I was about to call out to Lorcan something slammed into me and I was thrown the floor. Rough hands pulled my hands above my head, as the full weight of a man pinned the rest of my body to the floor. I saw a flash of what looked like cats eyes in the dark, but that thought quickly left my mind as whomever this was pushed their face into my neck and inhaled. The person stilled.

“Caitrina?"  A hoarse voice said, Lorcan.

“Lorcan! What the hell!”

“Gods, I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was ye.” He lifted himself up from me and rose, pulling me with him.

“Who else where you expecting?” I hissed. Not another woman? Was that jealousy? No.

“No one, I was…disoriented.” He replied.

”From what?”

“There was some…other affects that just hit me from before, and I needed to take care of it.” I heard his footsteps, the room flooded with light, “You caught me just coming out of it.”

“Out of what?” I asked.

“It’s hard to explain…come on.” He stormed to his bedroom. I ran after him.

“What—“ He grabbed my hand and encircled our fingers, sending us back into a time not so long ago...

April 6th, 1647

She ran down the hallway chasing after the small toddler. “Little boy, come back here!” She called chasing after him, he was fast for his age. She and her fathers guardsmen had come to castle McClane late last night, she was looking forward to sleeping in. But when she stirred this morning, her eyes landed on the small boy at the side of her bed. She had jumped from bed just as the boy ran from the room, she had quickly donned a robe, and fled the room. With every intention of tracking the boy down, and seeing what had interested him so much. Luck would have it, the boy had been right down the hall, hiding in an alcove. But the moment she took a step from the room he had taken off, flying down the hallway with the speed that every small child seems to have. Every time she turned a corner he would be already around the next as if he could fly. She made it to the great hall, but that’s when she ran into .him.
