"Tae c'mon, you're drunk. We gotta get home."
Jeongguk gripped Tae's waist, hoisting the oldest's arm over his shoulder. The two went out with their group of friends to celebrate the release of Namjoon's new song and Taehyung got carried away in the happy celebration. Since the two lived together, Jeongguk was given the task of getting him home safely and in one piece. He didn't know it'd be this difficult.
"Me? Drunk? Never..." Taehyung giggled as his words slurred and his body swayed. Jeongguk tightened his grip on the boys waist, sighing and hoisting him up. They had to get home soon because if Taehyung went down, Jeongguk was going down with him. It wasn't about how strong they were, Jeongguk could beat Taehyung in that level but he was tired and slightly tipsy himself, Taehyung could overpower him.
So Jeongguk picked up the pace, dragging Tae most of the time. When they got to their apartment, Jeongguk leaned Taehyung against the wall and chuckled when he watched him slowly slide down. As he fumbled with his keys, he heard Taehyung grumble and lay on the ground.
"Hurry Gukkie, I'm tired..."
Jeongguk sighed with a smile as he continued to look for the key.
"Well Tae, if you weren't drunk and our phones weren't dead, it'd be a lot easier to find this key."
Taehyung waved his hand and continued to lay on the ground, grinning as he thought to himself. This was a common thing he'd do when he got drunk, he'd think to himself and have his own little conversations. He'd make himself laugh and make himself question life all in the same conversation in his head. Jeongguk found it entertaining, mostly when Taehyung would think out loud.
When Jeongguk finally got the door unlocked, Taehyung was now laying on his stomach and looking at an ant that was crawling around his finger.
"Gukkie isn't life amazing?"
Jeongguk chuckled and put his hand on his forehead.
"Sure hyungie, now c'mon I got the door open."
Jeongguk helped Tae up, throwing his arm over his shoulder and placing his own arm around the oldest's waist. He helped him wobble inside, placing him on the couch with a grunt. Jeongguk then walked to the kitchen, grabbing a water bottle out of the fridge.
"Hey Guk..."
"Yes hyung?"
"Where's Tannie?"
Jeongguk looked around, not seeing the little dog in his usual spot. Yeontan usually sat somewhere near the door, waiting for his owner to get home but he wasn't there this time. Jeongguk grew panicky. Maybe he left a window open and someone stole him, or he climbed out the window. The dog did like to sit on the windowsill.
"Tannie? Where are you?"
Taehyung quickly sat up, all of a sudden sober. He stood up and slowly teared up.
"Guk where's my dog?"
"I'm looking hyung. I don't know how he could've-"
That's when they both heard a thud come from Jeongguk's room.
They both quickly ran to the room, throwing the door open.
"O-oh hey guys."
Jimin smiled softly and held up the dog they were looking for.
"I wanted to see Tan so I invited myself in. Are you two okay? You look like you saw a ghost."
Taehyung wailed and ran towards the two, taking the dog out of Jimin's arms and holding him closely.
