September 16, 2018:

Sangwoo looked out of the window, seeing people on the sidewalk. He sighed, rolling his shoulders. They still hurt after his father had whipped him for dropping a plate.

He turned around, checking the clock hanging on the wall. It was 1 PM, enough time for him to squeeze in a performance before his father came back from work. He ran a hand through his hair, wearing a T-shirt. Jogging out of the room, he went down the stairs.  He paused at the entrance, slipping on his sneakers.

He looked around, seeing the stains on the walls, cigarette butts on the floor. His mouth fell into a flat line. He'd cleaned the house just last night. Gritting his teeth, he closed his eyes, trying not to cry.

Damn it, he thought. Now I'll get into trouble, and he'll beat me.

But he could clean it up as soon as he got back, right?

With that in mind, he twisted the doorknob, breathing in the fresh air that welcomed him like a long-lost friend. He inhaled deeply, trying to take in as much air as he could before letting it all out with a whoosh. The sky was a light blue, with sparse clouds decorating it. A light breeze ruffled his hair, making a grin appear on his face.

As Sangwoo walked to the spot he used to perform at, he noticed the surrounding people; how they interacted with each other, lost in their own little worlds. This always managed to surprise him. He wasn't used to having a normal conversation. The two mediums through which messages were conveyed to him were either by physical or mental abuse. He hated his life. He hated people who could say things and not get punished for them.

Why did they get to be happy?

Why not him?

He set the bag down carefully, making sure to not damage its contents. He took the speaker out, connecting it to his phone and putting on a playlist.

Taki Taki by DJ Snake was the first song he performed.

(This is Sangwoo's performance)

A crowd slowly began to build as he progressed through songs, some pulling out their phones to record the performances. He danced to Can't You See Me? by TXT, Monster by EXO, Hellevator by Stray Kids, and many more.

For his last performance, he danced to Move by Taemin.
