Sangwoo leaned back in his chair and stretched, trying to straighten his spine. He groaned in satisfaction as he heard his bones pop.

The sunset cast an orange-red glow across his face. The boy's mind returned to his mother. Watching the sun go down was something they liked to do together often. He scoffed as he recalled what she'd once told him.

No matter what, I'll always be there for you.

"You broke your promise, Mum," he muttered, still looking at the sunset.

The whole thing had begun eight months ago...


January 2018:


"Bye, Mom. I love you!" Sangwoo had shouted as he rushed out the door.

"I love you, too. Do well, son!" his mother had screamed back.
