Layla didn't realize it had been a month, even more than that, until Korg pointed that out to her one night.

He had asked him the date and when she answered, he was waiting for a new game pack to drop,(yes, he was on his way to becoming a pro-gamer) Korg had said it had been more than a month since they arrived on Earth.

It had helped her to make the math in her head. It had been more than a month, they were nearing one and a half at this point.

She didn't realize how time went by so quickly when they were busy rebuilding the village. It had taken longer than they anticipated, especially largely due to some unforeseen circumstances.

Hulk and Thor had gotten into a spar once again but this time Thor had underestimated his control on the weather. He had caused thunder and the lightning had damaged the town hall and most of the new houses they had built.

Luckily, no one was harmed. But a majority of the things they had done were damaged which meant that they had to start again.

She was just happy that none of the governments had heard about it. Ross managed to smooth their little accident over but she was not sure he'd be able to repeat it if word got out.

On the other hand, Val was especially pissed at the two of them. Which was why they were all at Korg and Miek's house right now without the two.

She had instructed them to clean up the mess and don't come into her eyesight until they were done. Layla had never seen the pair that intimidated before. Actually, she had never seen that pair intimidated before.

Val really was something to be reckoned with.

"The pots are by the third counter," Korg said to Layla. She grabbed it. They were making popcorn. "I've looked the recipe online again. I'm sure I can do it this time," he said.

She gave him a playful look. "Korg, no offense, but, the last time you said that you almost burned down your house,"

"Yes. But it was an accident. It won't happen again,"

With a sigh, she handed the pot to him. "Okay, but I'll supervise this time. Just in case,"

He nodded. As he started working on it she leaned on the wall with her arms crossed, watching him. She was occasionally checking the living room where Val and Miek were.

Val had invited everyone from their little group except for Thor and Hulk. They were in detention.

That meant only two people were missing now. Loki and Heimdall.

She didn't know whether he was going to show up or not. The balance between them had started to change when he started training her on her powers but reached something else two nights ago.

When Thor and Hulk's little spar occurred. She may have been going out of her way to avoid talking about it but she wasn't the only one acting weird after it.

Loki was acting differently too.

She still remembered their first lesson. It wasn't that long ago, but still, the first lesson was something else. He had pissed her off. A lot.

He wanted to see the extend of her powers. He had said that it was linked to her emotions, which she already knew. Controlling her powers went through controlling her emotions.

And he wanted to see how far she could go. She didn't. Because they were still around people and she didn't want to hurt anyone.

She may have knocked him down to his ass a couple of times during that lesson.
