Chapter 8 - The Plan/An Unexpected Ally

As I was walking from my bus stop to my house one afternoon, I couldn't stop thinking about Colonel-senpai and Wendy-chan. She was starting to hang out with him all the time now, leaving me with almost no time to spend with him anymore. Every single time I tried to talk to him, Wendy-chan would interrupt and steal him away from me. Sure, I still had Shrek, Donkey, Barry and Johnny to hang out with, but it just wasn't the same without Colonel-senpai being there with us. He was the glue that held our friend group together. Suddenly, a rustling noise from the bushes followed by a loud thud snapped me out of my thoughts. I whipped my head around and saw something, or rather someone that I never would expect to see. I gasped. "Nani? Shaggy-kun?! Scooby Doo?!" I said in shock as they both fell out of the bush. Both of them looked up at me with an expression about as surprised as mine. Shaggy stood up, brushing the dust off of his legs and shoulders with his hands, and Scooby Doo got up from the ground. "Sh-Shaggy-kun! W-What are you d-doing here?" I stuttered then gulped, backing away from him and Scooby Doo. I was in shock because I had just discovered a boy and his dog potentially stalking me, and I was frightened because that boy had been Shaggy Rogers, the scariest guy in school! Shaggy just stared at me with a bored, lazy and amused look on his face as I backed away from him. "Listen man," he began while scratching his head. "I'm not gonna hurt ya, so why don't ya stop backing away from me like I'm some kind of monster you just saw, eh?". I immediately listened to him and stopped moving out of pure fright because I was scared of what might have happened next if I didn't. He moved three steps towards me, then cleared his throat before speaking. "If you're wondering why I'm here, it's because I've been spying on you, your friend and that Wendy girl all week, and, well, ya just caught me in the middle of spying," he admitted. My eyes widened and my heart began to race. Shaggy-kun... had been spying on me, Colonel-senpai and Wendy-chan all week? I always thought that he was a creepy weirdo, but this just further confirmed that my suspicions were right! "What are you talking about, Shaggy-kun?" I questioned him. "Why would you spy on us? What is it that you want? I'll give you anything as long as you stop following me!". "Chill out, dude," he replied calmly. "I've been... examining the three of you, more correctly." "What do you mean by 'examining?'" I asked him. "I've been watching all of your interactions," he stated blatantly. "Since the start of school, you and Colonel-senpai have been really close, and it's, like, extremely obvious that you have feelings for him, my dude." I blushed madly, covering my face with my hand. "Nani? No it's not!" I argued, lying. I damn well knew it was obvious that I liked him, but I refused to admit it! Shaggy-kun clearly wasn't buying any of it, as he shook his head, then pinched the tip of his nose and sighed. "Whatever you say, my guy," he said. "Listen though, that Wendy's gonna steal your man away if ya don't do anything about it soon, and he'll be gone before you know it. I've been watching him get more and more distant from you and closer to her. You need to act fast, man." Shaggy-kun was right. Colonel-senpai would be gone before I knew it if I didn't act fast. "You know, dude," he said. "I can help you win him back if you want. You see, Wendy's not the Little Miss Goody Two Shoes she appears to be; she's actually a huge bitch. She and her army of loyal followers always bully the kids less popular than them, including me, after school and it's not at all cool, man. I've always hated her guts. I say we should get revenge and take her down and win Colonel-senpai back." I couldn't believe my ears. Was I hearing correctly? Wendy-chan... is actually a bully? I couldn't believe it! I mean, I already thought she was annoying and kind of rude for always ignoring me whenever I was around Colonel-senpai, but I never thought that this would be something that I would hear. I started to feel less guilty for wanting to steal Colonel-senpai away from her now that I knew this information. I could team up with Shaggy-kun to win Colonel-senpai back, and since I didn't exactly know how to win him over, I just couldn't pass up on Shaggy-kun's offer. I would now have the upper hand with his help. "Alright, deal," I said. He looked at me for a moment before talking. "Well, in that case," he said, holding out his hand, "let's do this, comrade." I took his hand and shook it, while Scooby Doo howled in victory. Shaggy-kun was now my ally.
