"So everyone here is a werewolf?" I asked Lizbet.

"Yup," she answered then hesitated, "There may be two or three humans here but other than that everyone else is a werewolf. Only about twenty people are part of Dean's pack."

"Who is Dean?" I asked her.

"Dean," Sam interjected, "was the Alpha you repeatedly disrespected."

How was I supposed to know his name was Dean if he never told me? I think I saw him in class once and that stupid teacher had to read my freaking poem. Just nice.

Lunch came by quickly, thank God and I already finished my homework in the other class even though Lizbet warned me not to.

The lunch area bustled with students and there was a line for the food. I was about to get in line when Sam stopped me.

"You're not allowed to get your own lunch through the line until you've gained Dean's trust and by the looks of it, you'll be eating alone for a while," he said. Does he ever smile? I mean for God sake's he doesn't even sneer.

"Fine," I said to him, "I want a pizza with sausage, some cheese sticks, a Pepsi, a pear and a brownie."

He glared at me. "Lizbet, if you would be so kind," he began. She nodded to him.

"No problem, see you in a bit." She got on line and pulled out her wallet.

"I'll give you the money, hold on!" I said pulling out a twenty and getting ready to rush over there. Sam grabbed my arm. Hard.

"You'll give it to her when she brings you your food. Let's go already."

I jerked my arm out of his grip. "Stop doing that,"  I demanded.

"Can we go? Vanity promised lunch," Corey whined.

Sam just walked away and like baby ducks we followed. We went through staircase after staircase, hallway after hallway until we reached a classroom.

The door was made of thick wood that couldn't be easily broken. There were bars on the small window outside the door. The lights were dim and Sam opened the door and motioned for me to go in.

"What a gentleman," I said, "Opening the door for a lady."

"Shut up," he said following me.

"Rude," I said sucking my teeth at him.

I plopped myself down in the chair farthest to the right. I placed my bag under the table and took out a book to read. I didn't even get through one chapter when Lizbet came in with the food and another girl came behind her hold several white plastic bags.

She held a small box out to me. "Here," she said being monotonous, "They didn't have sausage so I got pepperoni."

"Thanks," I said giving her a slight smile. Something was wrong with her. It didn't take me long to figure it out when she turned her face. It turned an odd yellowish purple color and had a tinge of a swell to it.

I didn't say anything because I felt I didn't need to. She was being too nice. But what scratched my brain was who. Who would hit her? Sam was here with me and the only person I could think of what that stupid megalomaniac Alpha. Dean

Dean. Dean. Dean. Bastard with a capital B-A-S-T-A-R-D.

The other girl though was way too chipper for the mood. She was smiling and giggling into her phone. Sam, Amon, and Corey glared at her expectantly and Lizbet just sat there leaning back in her chair and staring off into space. As Corey reached over for the bags she slapped his hand.

"Will you wait?" she hissed, "I am talking here. The food isn't going anywhere."

They sat there a good ten minutes while I opened my pizza box and dug in. I had drunk my soda until there was ice and I wrapped the brownie Lizbet had gotten me in a napkin and put it in my bag for later.

They were getting frustrated and weren't doing anything. She talked and talked and didn't give a crap.

So I decided to tackle actions into my own two freaking rogue hands and got up and walked around the edge of the table and took a hold of the bag.

Her hand shot out and grabbed mine. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" she threatened her claws, not nails, claws dug into the skin of my inner wrist.

"Doing what they don't want to do," I said.

Sam was already halfway out of his seat and was taking precautions. I swapped the bag from my right hand to my left hand and tossed the bag with the plastic containers into the center. "There's your grub."

She didn't let go of my hand and her phone was still to her ear in the other. The caller must have hung up because she was putting her Android in her pocket now.

"Do you want to start something, you stupid rogue?" she said.

I cocked my head, "What if I do?"

"That would be stupid especially for your rank. No one is going to believe you, rat."

"They hate your guts right now so I think they'll vouch for me right about now."

She glared straight into my eyes. I didn't break away but when I did, I snatched my hand away and her claws raked my inner wrist. It bled but I tolerated the pain for a while.

Amon and Corey showed no shame in digging into their chicken and fried rice. Lizbet and Sam were on edge for what this girl might do but she stopped when the door behind me had opened.

Dean was at the doorway by himself and carrying some papers. He didn't look pissed but wasn't amused either.
