Vana let go of the girl's wrist just in time. She saw me and her face lit up and turned pink. She broadly smiled and strolled over to me.

"Vana, I need you to leave," I said striking her down, "You have no business here."

Her face was in utter shock. She had nothing to say but instead gave her classic "hmph" and walked away. When she was out the door she glared once more at Chris and then turned on her ankle-breaking heel and left.

"God, I hate her," I muttered.

No one looked up but Chris. She glanced up and then quickly looked back down. Everyone was chowing down on their food but her. She had her face in her book and she had her hand clamped onto her wrist.

"Did you eat?" I asked breaking the silence.

She looked a bit startled and I guess wondering why I asked. "Oh, yeah, I did," she mumbled. If it weren't for my five-star hearing I wouldn't have heard her. "That girl, Vanity had their food so they were kind of late eating."

"I see," was all I could say.

The silence was deafening. They ate while she sat there with the book out in front of her and her hand clamped over her wrist.

"Okay since no is going to say it I'm going to say it," I began, "Vanity is out."

They looked at me dubiously and Corey and Amon broke into cheers and Sam gave a relief lopsided grin.

"Was she that bad?" Chris asked.

Amon turned to her. "She was a snot-nosed brat who thought she had everyone wrapped around her perfectly manicured finger."

"Ha, she was better in the nail salon than in the classroom," Corey said.

They burst into laughter but it immediately ceased when I stood. Enough.

"I bet you're wondering why you're here," I said to Chris, "Your monitors are here and so am I."

She didn't say anything but Sam did. "You're here because Dean doesn't trust you and by the looks of it, you don't trust him either." He wiped his mouth with a napkin. "You're a rogue so we're keeping you from corrupting other students and staff. You'll have to respect the alpha in order to obtain his trust like the rest of us."

"To put it bluntly like he just did," I started, "We figure if we leave you alone you'll get sick of the solitude and you'll behave so that you can be with everyone else."

"'We'?" Chris asked.

"Yes. We." I told her. "I have subordinates. They help me decide what should be done and how they should be done."

She smirked. "A big bad Alpha like you needs help? Oh please. We all know you do everything yourself and if you screw up, well, you screw up."

I stood up straighter and crossed my arms. "See? This is what makes me not trust you. Your mouth is going to get you into trouble."

She shrugged. "I'm just thinking that I'll hand your ass to you on a silver platter during the sparring session in the gym. My father taught me well. How about you?"

I sneered at her. "I'd like to see you try. Being a rogue means you strength had also been depleted. I want to see what you can do as The Freiden Renegade."

The bell rang and I dismissed them to class. Chris didn't stop glaring at me until I was out the door.

We'll see just how strong you are, Renegade.
