75-it started with a project

"ah ok so I just put the triangle over?" Lou said looking over to Nolan who's working on the other side.

"yeah just put it over since it balances the whole structure," Nolan said as Lou smiled while placing the triangle on their art project. They both heard the bell ring and they worked together to carry the piece in the back of the class for checking.

"you think we did well?" Nolan asked as both of them got their bags to leave.

"eh no" Lou said with a blank face, Nolan quickly turned to look at him shocked.

"what?" Nolan said shocked

"cuz I know we did great, no more than great, its amazing" Lou said turning to look at Nolan with a sweet smile. Nolan quickly looked away flushed.

"How are you so sure?" Nolan asked hiding his face. Suddenly Lou came closer to Nolan, their faces inches apart.

"I'm sure because you put effort into it and you did amazing" Lou proceeded to walk while Nolan stood there stunned.

"you coming babe?"

"you coming babe?" Nolan looked up to see Lou already holding the things they need for the vacation. They both went to the car and drove off.

They stopped at the beach and got their thing out of the trunk. They spent the day at the beach making sandcastles and chasing each other in the waters. At sunset, they sat down and just admired each other's company. They went back to the car to go to their hotel but Lou saw a child running in the road, about get hit by a truck. Lou ran to push the child not thinking of what's going to happen to him. As soon as Nolan realized what happened he ran towards the love of his life who's now very weak and almost covered in blood.

"hey hey don't close your eyes, okay? Look at me hey look at me, stay with me okay? Please don't leave me" Nolan tried to shake Lou and get him to wake up but it wasn't for long. Lou reached for Nolan's cheek trying to smile.

"I love you, thank you for being at the very last chapter in my life, im sorry I couldn't be in yours" those were his last words before the rain started to pour. Nolan couldn't remember what happened next but he just knew, his whole world became dull.

At Lou's funeral, beautiful carnations were scattered because it was his favorite flower. Nolan sat at their rooftop holding the carnation.

"thank you for completing a chapter in my book, I promise in another life, I'll be holding these carnations while walking down the aisle with you, my love"
