Kenma was looking around nervously. Hinata was shocked to see Kenma. I waved and gave him a small smile. Hinata ran after Kenma, who was trying to enter the gymnasium and was talking to him when a Tanaka looked alike stared at him to see what he was doing with their setter. He was trying to intimidate Hinata and then Tanaka was doing the same, resulting in a glaring contest.
I sigh watching them from behind Tobio. Tanaka was screaming about rumbling and him being a city boy. “You guys are about to rumble the game about to start and stop saying city boy nobody says that,” suga said to Tanaka “Yamamoto can you stop picking fights all the time you're making a fool of yourself,” a short male with sand brown hair said to the Nekoma player.
The two of them then started sulking while suga and the other male were apologizing for their behavior. The Tanaka look-alike saw me and Kiyoko and started freaking out. My brother then asked how we already knew one of the players.
“oh me and yalina meet him the other day when we were out, he’s Nekoma setter.”
"a setter” my brother got really fired up. When we finally made it to the gym I noticed Kuroo and Daichi shaking hands and smiling at each other. The boys then began stretching but not before I asked nishinoya if the “bruising balm” helped any and he said it “worked like a charm” while grinning quite widely and showing off that his bruises have almost disappeared.
“I’m glad just let me know if you need any more I’ll be happy to make you some more”
“you made it yourself!” he yelled catching people attention “um yeah”
“that so cool” “um thank you,” Daichi asked what nishinoya was yelling about he then told the whole team about the arnica balm I made. I then proceeded to hide behind my brother as Hinata was bombarding me with questions until tobio yelling at him to quit it and calling him a boke.
After stretching was down the boys were huddled together while Daichi gave a small speech “ Let me be frank. We’ve all just met. We’re awkward and fragmented. But regardless, we’re facing our first match. We know nothing about Nekoma’s team or the kind of walls we’ll hit. But when we find a wall, that’s our chance to jump over it.” Then they did the “karasuno fight!” and soon everyone was lined up and Daichi brought Hinata that he didn’t seem as nervous “really.”
Nekoma number 7 then noticed Hinata calling him tiny “don’t you mock me."
“I'm not mocking you at all dude.” “really?” “really.” my brother glared at him causing the two to freak out a little bit.
“hey, Shoyo remember when I told you I thought we’re a strong team, but it’s not me that’s strong. It’s everyone together.” Kenma said getting ready to serve as he was to serve first and Asahi received it calling out,
“Sorry, it’s a little short!”
“That’s what you get for ditching for a month, Asahi,” nishinoya said causing him to apologize again
“I’m sorry!” while Daichi calls for “Kageyama, cover!” who then set the ball to Hinata who spiked it, shocking the Nekoma team.
They congratulated Hinata and then it was Tanaka serve.“Here goes!”
the Nekoma libero called out to “Fukunaga!” who received the serve. “Yamamoto” was called by Kenma as he set to him and spiking but it was received by nishinoya “Nice receive!” When Tobio prepares to toss, Hinata runs behind him but he set it to Asahi who earned another point for karasuno the libero then swapped out tsukishima taking nishinoya place but not before nishinoya slapped him.
