Author's note:
So that's what it's all about. In life we go through both, the good and the bad. If you surround yourself with people who love and care for you anything will be able to happen. Whether your dream is simplistic, or out of this world, never stop dreaming and never stop and start to care what others think. Sometimes you don't need a huge crowd of friends, maybe all you need is your family. Or, it could be the other way around. My goal when writing is to bring out some of the struggles that I personally have dealt with. Being LGTBQ and being young is different sometimes because people are going to assume there's something wrong with you. While there are so so so many things I could highlight too, I focus on bringing those out and showing people that there can be so much going on in a person's life and you might not know it. Regardless of a person's skin color, their sexuality, their gender identity, treat everyone the same, treat everyone with respect.
Mental health matters to me, and I want to bring that to the table. Mental health looks different on everyone, and it's wrong to assume that everyone is just fine. Sometimes an 'I'm fine' is a little white lie. Please check in with your friends and loved ones, reassure that you're there for them, and that they're doing good. Mental health is often a taboo subject that hardly gets brought up in school, work, etc. Kids grow up and some don't understand the importance mental health is. So with that, please take a self care day if you need to. Having a bad mental health day happens and when it does, just treat your body like it's sick. Get lots of rest, drink something warm, watch your comfort show (yes that one you've watched now ten or thirteen times). Take some time for yourself and reach out if you're struggling! That's the best way to start. If my stories can give you a smile, a laugh, or just bring up a really nice memory, then I've done what I set out to do.
I make these stories straight from my heart. They are made from struggles myself or my friends or family had to go through. I want to make my stories as relatable as I can. In sense that it could bring someone out there some comfort, knowing that there is someone out there who understands them, and recognizes what they are going through. While making this book I have felt countless emotions. I have had my depressive episodes while writing, I've had my manic episodes while writing, I've had a lot of fun making this however, just knowing that there was a story I could still finish. I always recommend writing, and the reason being for that is because it doesn't matter what language you speak, who you love, if you can write characters or not, etc. What matters is that you're getting those feelings out, and when you're having a bad mental health day just come and write. Where maybe you might work on the story in increments, but that day where you finish that story is going to mean a lot. Whenever you feel there is no way out, come sit and write, finish that story you've been working on, because I can promise you, your life story is far from over. You have all the potential. Right now may seem terrible, dark, cold; I can assure you through my stories and right here, that those feelings won't last a lifetime. You're such a beautiful human being, and you deserve nothing short of happiness.

With love and a second book,
