Arshi's POV

I gasped as soon as I stepped out of the car. We were in a garden on the banks of the river. A small road, lit with fairy lights led up right to the edge, where there was a tiny wooden bridge. It led to a wooden pavilion, a little way out on the river. It had wooden walls on three sides, the side facing the bridge open. The walls only came up halfway, so there was a brilliant view of the twinkling lights on the opposite side. White curtains, held back with pink ribbons were hung up & soft yellow lights lit up the entire place. It was beautiful.

"This is beautiful." I whispered.

"Not as beautiful as you." I felt the blood rushing up to my cheeks. He smiled, " You liked it?"

I nodded, still awestruck by the amazing beauty of Niall in a suit, in such an beautiful place.

He snaked a hand around my waist & led me up the bridge, to the pavilion, where a table was set out. He pulled back my chair & helped me in.

Heart, if you beat any harder, you'l jump right out of my chest. I could hardly breathe. I giggled.

His eyebrows shot up.

"Its like I am in a movie."

" Thats the idea." He smirked.

" To re- create a movie scene?"

" No. To create my own movie scene."

I smiled.

Niall's POV

I am a gentleman, yes. My heart is literally jumping out of my cheast.

She smiled. A lovely, natural smile.

"You look so beautiful when you smile." She blushed. Then her face dropped.

"Whats wrong?"

"I cant think of anything romantically perfect to reply." She frowned.

I burst out laughing.

"That was the most romantic thing I have ever heard."

Arshi grinned.

"Then you have not heard a lot of romantic things in your life, I guess?"

"Trust me, not much." I grinned.

* 2 hours later*

"That was a lovely dinner." I winked.

"2-1!" She shot back.

"Which means I win."

"Yeah whatever."

We were standing at the edge, gazing out into the inky black water & the lights dancing on it. She thought it would be fun to see who could eat faster & I had won. Again. But she was not that bad herself. She is like me. Not perfect. But perfect to me. It was not a sombere romantic dinner but a fun romantic dinner. I put my hand around her waist & I fingered the box in my pocket. She had leaned back a little, putting her head on my cheast. I hope she cant hear the sound of my thudding heart. I could feel the goosebumps on my arm. I can hardly breathe. It was time.
