Chapter- 23

Arshi's POV

Everything is so perfect.

"Arshi?"

"Yes?" I smiled.

"Be mine?"

He opened a small velvet box & held it in front of me. In it were the world's most beautiful pair of earings. My heart dropped.

"So?" He asked awkwardly.

Those two words took me two years back.

Niall's POV

"Be mine?" I asked her, holding the box in front of her.

She stood stone still.

"So?"

She trembled & bit her lip.

"Uh...Niall..uh..I have to leave."

I didnt let my hand drop.

"Niall, I have to leave." She repeated, a little louder. It is then I noticed, her voice was breaking.

"Look at me." I said.

"What?" She said, still not making eye contact.

" Look. At. Me." I held her chin & turned her face towards me.

Something was not right.

I was right. Tears swam in her brown eyes.

"Whats wrong?" I whispered.

" Nothing." She turned her face away.

"You can trust me."

A single tear rolled down her cheek.

" How do I know you wont break it?"

" You dont. But Il prove it to you."

She started sobbing.

" I am sorry. You must be thinking what a freak I am." She sobbed.

" Not in a million years." I cant see her crying. It is breaking my heart. I moved my hands around her & enveloped her in a hug.

" You know what?"

She looked up, tears stainig her cheeks.

" Forget this." I shut the box, " Lets be friends first."

I smiled & wiped her tears away.

" Dont cry. Please." She smiled.

I love you, I whispered to myself.

I have to find out what caused this. What made my princess cry. Why cant she trust anyone. I have to and I will.

Anyways, guys I have a test on the 17th & have to submit a project on the 18th. So I am a bit busy. & I think I broke my straightner. :/
