Chapter-49

Abhimanyu's POV

"Niall calling", my screen flashed. I reached out and received it before it could ring a second time. "Arshi's awake." He said.

"Il be right there." I replied and cut the call. The initial hostility between us had decresed somewhat, when I came to know him better. When I first saw the blonde haired boy sitting in the hospital corridor, my anger simply boiled over. He was the one responsible. He was the reason my sister was in the hospital. He would have ended up with a bloody nose on that million dollar face of his, had it not been for Abi. My angel Abi. She fits me like a missing puzzle piece. She held me back, reminding me my parents were there too. This reminds me, I have to inform them too. But I have to talk to Arshi first. One week of taking care of Arshi has convinced me just a little bit that Niall cares about her. He has not left her bedside even once the entire time. He just sits there, staring at her, never leaving her hand. He tells her to wake up. He talks to her. I heard him crying one night, when I was leaving. He was desperately asking her to wake up, telling her he would never leave her again. I had to grudgingly admit he really did care for her. Abi told me he cancelled his concerts to stay at her side. Our parents, though are confused about Niall's presence. I told him he's a stranger who rescued her and probably feels its his duty to stay there. I saw his face when I told our parents that, his eyes were shining with gratitude. But I did it for Arshi, not for him. I still dont trust him completely. I want her to tell our parents. I sighed and turned off the engine. I had reached the hospital. I out got and made my way up. I knocked on her door and pushed it open. Niall was sitting by her bed, as usual.

"She just slept." He whispered.

I nodded and sat down on the couch. Niall turned back to her, gently stroking the back of her hands.

"Niall?" I said softly. He turned, looking at me questioningly.

"I need to ask you something." I said.

He nodded, "I know. Do I really love her? Thats what right?" When I didnt answer, he continued, "I do Abhimanyu. I do. I love with all my life." The sincerity in his voice could be heard from a mile away. I nodded. "You should probably get some sleep." I said, after a while, "Il stay here." I saw he was about to shake his head when I added, "Arshi would want you too." He pondered and nodded his head, "Okay. But call me when she's awake okay?" I nodded, "Sure mate."

Niall's POV

"Hey princess." I whispered, putting on a smile. Inside, my heart was killing me. It was my fault she was here.

"Hi." She replied weakly.

"How are you?" I asked, probably the stupidest question in the history of questions.

"A lot better, now that you are here." My heart grimaced. She loved me so much and all I had done was hurt her. Land her up in hospital. I struggled to hold back my tears.

"Arshi." I said softly, "I am sorry." I looked down at our entwined fingers, " I am sorry for everything. All I have ever done is hurt you..."

"Niall?" She interrupted me. I looked up into those shining brown eyes, "We are together right? And thats what matters. And this is none of your fault. It never could me. You saved me Niall. I owe my...." I cut her off by placing my lips on hers. Tingles ran down my spine.

"Ssh! Not a word more." I smiled at her. She smiled back. And yawned.

"Go back to sleep." I said.

"But I am not sleepy." She answered.

I grinned, "Oh yes you are." I said, as I sung her back to sleep.

[A/N: Late update. I know. Sorry. But school's started -.- And I dont like school. We should have only school not any classes. You know just going there and hanging out with our friends all day!! :D

Anyways Il try to update on the weekdays but I can assure you of a weekend update.
