I abruptly stood up, making the stool fall behind me on the ground in a huge thud.

"I gotta go," I muttered, still lost inside of my thoughts and without wasting another moment I ran out of Danny's house.

"Angst!" Danny yelled after me, but I continued running. I NEED to see Parker, Yudas, God, whatever he is, and I need to see him right NOW.

Danny POV

"Danny," Amber called as I paced a hole in the floor, "Danny!" she exclaimed, and my head snapped towards her in annoyance, "Calm down,"

"Calm down?" I asked, muttering the words to myself rather than a question to her, "But," I said, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I simply shook my head and began pacing again.

"Danny," Chief said, placing his hands firm on my shoulders, "She'll be alright," he said, looking deep into my eyes.

I know she will, won't she?

But.

"How can you possibly know that?" I asked, and he stepped back in shock.

"What?" he asked.

I chewed on my bottom lip, "Last time she went away like this, we almost died, I almost died. She's the reason I'm still alive but I'm the reason she came back a wreck from killing someone to survive," I said in a hoarse voice, "Why did she run out like that Toby?"

"Danny, did something happen between you and Angst since she's been here?" Amber asked from behind us, and I turned around to face her.

"What do you mean?" I asked, and she slowly stood up.

"I don't know, something intimate? Something that would make you react like this?"

"You think I would make a move on her?" I asked incrediously, "You can't be serious," I said, and she shook her head.

"Intimate doesn't always mean sexual tendencies Danny come on you know that," she said, trying to justify her wording.

"Amber, you've never killed someone," I said in exasperation, shaking my head, "You're a mid liner which means you don't kill unless all of the front liners are down, you take the injured back to Dr. Belbum and Nurse Katy's office! This type of shit weighs heavily on you, on your conscious!" I exclaimed, before biting my lip again but harder than the last time to the point where I tasted my metallic blood. "I can still remember," I trailed off, chest heaving as a deep shudder ran through my bones.

"Danny?" he asked, tears displaying across the bottom of his eyelids and I just smirked.

"We got ourselves a crier boys!" I joked.
