Adopted By Fifth Harmony (HIATUS)

Chapter 5

Lauren's POV:

After Laurie calmed down, I looked at the girls and earned a nod, signalling that I should ask her.

"Laurie?"

"Hm?" Came the reply as she looked up at me.

"Can I ask you something?" I questioned. She nodded.

I took a slow, deep breath and said, "Can I adopt you?" Her eyes widened at my request and a silence settled around the room.

"Me? You want to adopt me?" Laurie asked awe-struck. I nodded. She flung her arms around me and repeated thank yous over and over again. I wrapped my arms around her as a stray tear slipped down my cheek.

"Start packing, I'll go down and sign the papers." I told her as I brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. She nodded and let go of me.

"Who wants to sign the papers with me?" I asked looking at my band members.

Ally slowly raised her hand and a smile spread across my face. As we went downstairs I heard Ariella cheering, "LAURIE YOU'RE GOING TO BECOME ALREN'S CHILD!!!" I smiled at how true that statement was. Laurie was going to be our child and I couldn't be happier.

Laurie's POV:

Holy shit Lauren Michelle Jauregui and Allyson Brooke Hernandez are adopting me. Whaaaaaat? I feel like I'm dreaming.

"LAURIE YOU'RE GOING TO BECOME ALREN'S CHILD!!!" Ariella cheered. A wide smile spread across as I let that sink in. I am going to become Alren's child.

"We'll be the sisters you never had!" Dinah exclaimed jumping on my bed and engulfing me in a hug.

"You'll come and visit us right?" Hayley asked, looking at me, a smile flitting onto her face.

"Of course," I replied, smiling back. I could never forget these 3 friends that I've made. Upon hearing that, I was instantly under a huge dog pile.

"G-guys.. C-can't breathe," I stammered and they immediately got off.

"Come on, let's pack!!" Ariella pulled me up and I did my best to ignore the pain from my wound.

Hayley pulled out my suitcase and started packing my clothes with Cayley. Ariella and I packed my tables and drawers which were filled with books and stationery. Dinah, Normani and Camila started taking down my posters and pictures on my side of the wall.

By the time Ally and Lauren came back we were 3/4 done! We quickly put the last of my things into my suitcases and some old boxes Maya that passed us along with a plastic bag of this week's dirty clothes (washing's on every Tuesday and Sunday). All my dance stuff was also put in a box.

"You guys can always come visit and maybe even stay over with my family whenever I'm in town," Lauren told Ariella, Hayley and Cayley who had sad smiles on their faces.

"And I'll try my best to come back to Miami whenever possible, okay? We can also whatsapp, facetime and email whenever," I reassured them, an encouraging smile on my face even as I felt tears threatening to spill out.

I've been here for close to 3 years. It'll be hard to leave them and this place I call home. (( A/N right now the date for this story is around November 2014. We'll be moving into 2015 soon promise! ))

Ariella opened her arms and I ran into them gratefully as I let the tears fall. I felt two pairs of small arms wrap around my waist and I was full on bawling. Ariella pulled away and gently wiped my tears.

"Shh, don't cry. Look, you're gonna be Fifth Harmony's child! This is a dream come true isn't it? As you said, we can Skype, WhatsApp and everything. So chin up and embrace this new life. You're in for an adventure Laurie. Have fun and try not forget about us okay?" Ariella encouraged me, her eyes watery. I nodded my head and took in deep breaths.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me. I will never forget the very first day I walked in here and how I scared felt. Then I saw you sitting there at the reception counter. I was so shy at first but you did your best to make me feel better. At first? I thought you've been here for a long time.. And when I found out that it was your first day here, I was so surprised. I recall asking, "how can you keep your calm?" And you told me that your way of keeping yourself calm was by calming others. I remember how you broke down and I at that moment I realised just how strong you are. Ever since then, I found a great friend in you. Keep being the warrior that you are Ariella. I love you so goddamn much." I rambled, tears streaming down both our cheeks.

We hugged for the longest time and I wondered if I was ever gonna feel her arms around me ever again, comforting me like the mum I had lost.

Once we let go, I turned around to face Cayley and Hayley. "You two are the sweetest, kindest and bravest 10 year olds I've ever met. Thank you for being the little sisters I always wanted. Thank you for teaching me to enjoy all the simple things in life. Keep being yourselves, both of you. You may be the same on the outside but on the inside you're both different in your own unique ways. I love you," I told the both of them, wrapping my arms around their shaking bodies. Will I ever get to hug them like this again?

After they calmed down, I faced the three of them. "I'm gonna miss you guys. Don't ever give up chasing your dreams. Keep dancing, I know how much you guys love to dance. Once I recover, I'll continue dancing and everytime I dance I'll remember the three of you. Dancing is a way of expressing feelings that you just can't seem to put into words. Remember that," I told them, my voice cracking at the end. They nodded and after one last embrace I walked out of the orphanage with girls, ready to move on to the next chapter of my life. A new adventure is right in front of me and I'm going to embrace it.

The girls helped me put my things into the car and we were off.

"We're going to be headed to our Miami home," Lauren informed me from the middle row.

Big Rob was driving, Ally was shotgun, Lauren and Normani were in the middle seats while I was seated in between Camila and Dinah. A Caminah sandwich if you may.

"Yeap, and we'll be headed back to LA soon," Camila added, smiling at me.

I nodded and let my thoughts wander off.

Wait, what's my name? I've always been Laurie, just Laurie. What about now?

"Lauren? Ally?" I piped up shyly, leaning foward.

"Yes, hon?" Ally replied from the front just as Lauren said, "Yes, sweetie?"

I smiled and asked, "What's my full name?"

"Laurie Lyla Jauregui-Hernandez– Lyla from when we were Lylas in XFactor and your surname is mine and Lauren's." Ally explained. I nodded, a smile spreading across my face. I finally have a name, a real full name.

Heyyyyy so I updated yay !! So LAURIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! I just want to say thank you guys for everything I can't believe that I have so many awesome people y'all supporting me!! 😌 you guys are amazingggg 💞💞 so I'm gonna go Korea next week for a school trip so I'll write as much as I can and upload them when I get back how does that sound?? Anyways I hope you guys can comment more because I love reading your comments cause they motivate me to write better longer chapters 💓💓 so yeah ily guys and I may be writing a new story and it'll include many many artists 😏 so just wait and see !!
