Chapter 12

Laurie's POV:

"are you excited Laurie?" Camila asks as we walk towards the check-in. I nod mutely as I took in my surroundings. I bit my lip as I realized that more and more people were realizing who just came in to the airport.

"okay, girls, you guys can have 15 minutes with your fans, okay?" Big Rob says as a bunch of fans came running over. the girls' smiles grew wider as they went to meet the fans and all the laughter made my heart clench. how I wish..

"LAURIE!!" a scream broke my train of thought. whirling around, I saw Ariella, Hayley and Cayley all running towards me. I clasped a hand over my mouth as I ran towards them. I ran into Ariella's open arms as I started sobbing.

"shh, shh. it's okay, it's okay. we're here, it's okay," Ariella whispered as she rubbed circles in my back, effectively calming me down.

"I'm gonna miss you guys," I mumbled into Ariella's shoulder as my grip around her waist tightened.

"we're gonna miss you too," Ariella choked out as she continued rubbing my back.

"we'll skype, FaceTime and whatsapp everyday!!" Cayley exclaimed tears rolling down her cheeks.

"yup!! you can't get rid of us that easily! we'll be stuck with you till you're an old lady!" Hayley smirks but the tears forming in her eyes betray her façade.

I let go of Ariella and embrace the two of them tightly.

after we finally calm down, we just chat, like we always do. my heart clenches as I realize that this will probably be the last time we have such a conversation face to face.

"hey Laurie, it's time to go baby girl," Mami says as she comes over and wraps an arm around my waist. I look up to her and back to my friends. squeezing my eyes shut, I took a deep breath before reopening them.

"I'll see you guys next time I come to Miami, okay? I promise that I'll never forget you guys and we'll chat whenever we can. I love you guys so much.." I took a shaky breath in and I forced a smile onto my face.

"goodbye Laurie. all the best, I love you too," Ariella says and she wraps her arms around Cayley and Hayley. the twins shoot me a strained smile each as tears form in their eyes.

"bye Laurie, we love you!" Cayley exclaims as she uses a hand to rub at her eyes.

"friends forever, yeah?" Hayley says, chewing on her lip as she looks at me.

"friends forever," I affirmed as I gave them one last smile and looked up to my Mami.

Mami gives me a smile of her own as she pecks my forehead.

"goodbye girls, take care," Mami tells Ariella, Cayley and Hayley as she and I turn around to rejoin the girls.

as we walk into the check in area, I shoot one last glance behind and smile as Ariella pumps her fist in the air and mouths "faito dayo!"

as we walk in to the boarding area, I slip my hand into Mami's. it's been a long time since I've been on a plane and just that thought alone terrifies me.

looking to my left, I see Dinah tapping away on her phone as we walk. I quickly grab her arm and pull her closer as we walk past a pillar. a pillar that Dinah could've walked into.

finally realizing her surroundings, Dinah laughs at herself as she keeps her phone.

"you're a lifesaver," Dinah chuckles as she puts her arm around my shoulders.

"hey i wouldn't want my older sister to get killed," I said nonchalantly with a shrug of my shoulders.

"wanna sit with me on the plane?" Dinah asks.
