"So, was Hwang Hyunjin the murderer? Was it proved?"
One final year student asked as Changbin finished narrating them one of the infamous cases of Korea .
"He pleaded not guilty." Izumi snapped. "He didn't do it."
"You are saying that because he was your friend. There's enough evidence against him." Changbin replied back. "We have already talked about this, Izumi."
The students looked at each other in confusion and disbelief.
Izumi rubbed her temples as she groaned in annoyance.
"I am allowed to have my own opinion."
"It shouldn't be based on any kind of bias." Changbin was annoyed as well.
"He is not-"
"Prove it." Changbin snapped making Izumi go silent.
Changbin and Izumi were the senior superintendent and superintendent of the Seoul branch. They would usually come at the college to discuss and analyse cases with the students so they can have some sort of experience before they put on the uniform.
It would usually be fun but today's case was a sensitive one. It was one of South Korea's most famous cases and for all the wrong reason.
Izumi stared at changbin for few seconds before she walked out of the class and went towards her car.
As she sat and closed her eyes, memories started flooding.
6 years ago.
"After the murder of Seoul national university's student Choi Soobin another murder have occurred in a span of 4 days. This time though the murderer has been arrested. Police is suspecting that he was also behind the previous murder."
The reporter was giving updates from the crime scene .
"The victim has been identified as Park Seonghwa, another SNU student. The alleged murderer was found next to the victim, covered in the victim's blood with a knife in his hand .
The name of the suspect is Hwang Hyunjin."
The area was restricted but Seungmin and Izumi had been trying to get inside, seungmin was begging the police officers but all in vain.
Hyunjin was their friend and so was Seonghwa.
Izumi gasped in disbelief as she saw the crime scene, she had to stop the urge to puke from all the blood that was covering the floor, seonghwa and Hyunjin. The stench made her nauseous.
The walls were covered with the word , "Always on my mind 24/7 , 365." It was written with Seonghwa's blood.
She remembered seeing the same words written on Soobin's walls in the news.
Izumi let out a gasp as her eyes met with Hyunjin, his eyes screamed for help , he was so scared and didn't knew what to do. He was still holding on to the knife as he glanced at Seonghwa's body once in a while.
Hyunjin was sensitive, too scared of blood and why would he kill the boy he was falling in love with.
Izumi tried telling the police officers that Hyunjin, seungmin, seonghwa and she hanged out earlier that day and it was all good, that Seonghwa had invited Hyunjin over for a movie, that they were dating, that Hyunjin would never kill.
"WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!?" Seungmin grabbed the collar of the officer who forcefully dragged away Hyunjin into the police van. "HYUNJIN CAN'T DO THIS!"
"We have enough evidence. The forensic reports will definitely Support our theory. " The man replied pushing seungmin off.
Seungmin kept saying that he would save Hyunjin only to receive silence. Hyunjin, the happy and giggly boy had became numb in the past few hours. Izumi though, didn't had enough strength to yell and fight like seungmin.
