"Is that all Ha eun?" Wooyoung asked the little girl who nodded. "Then thank you for helping us out!"
"You are welcome." Ha eun replied and jumped off the witness box, running back to her mom.
Ha eun was really crucial to the case and was scared to see so many people all at once but thankfully, wooyoung was good with children and didn't had much problem with her.
The bell rang indicating it was a break for lunch. The people all collectively sighed , they were too intrigued to know what happens next . The judge stood up and made an announcement ,
"No one should leave the court building or they will be arrested."
It started a commotion among the people present but they brushed it off thinking about the safety reasons . Once out, Izumi rushed to Ryujin to know what exactly was going on but was held back by Jeongin.
"Later." Izumi tried to brush off Jeongin giving her a cup of coffee .
"Shut up and drink this. " Jeongin was serious, she hadn't had anything since morning and he was worried that it might affect her health adversely.
"Jeongin but Minho-" Jeongin made her sit and calmed her down.
"Hyung will be okay and he wouldn't want you to starve."
Wooyoung on the other hand pulled Ryujin aside.
"What did Minho said?"
"I am sorry but I can't trust you with it right now."
"Ryujin!" Wooyoung took a deep breath to calm himself down so, that he doesn't accidentally yell in frustration. "I am handling the case, if I don't know what is going on then how will I help?"
"Ask Minho." Ryujin answered ." I have other things to do right now. "
Ryujin ran downstairs with the handheld transceiver . She wanted the force to search for any crash or accident that occurred in a while .
Wooyoung ran his hands through his hair frustratingly and dialed Minho's number continuously until Minho picked up and even with the sound of 'hello' , Wooyoung knew something was off.
"Minho where are you?"
"I am at the outskirts of Seoul, I will be in the court soon but.." Wooyoung couldn't ignore the groans coming from Minho. "Seungmin isn't-"
"Are you okay? what happened?" Wooyoung asked worriedly.
Minho had just came out of his car, smoke and the smell of gas engulfed the car. He had barely managed to survive the head on head collision with the other vehicle. He had turned the steering wheel extremely right to avoid the sudden car which had resulted in him, crashing with the trees at the side.
If not for the airbags, Minho was sure that he would have been dead.
" My car crashed and-WHAT THE FUCK!!!"
Wooyoung could hear Minho's distressed voice. "I feel like my wrist is broken other than that I think I can still make it up to the court but Wooyoung-ah my car just went up in flames."
"WHAT!?!?" Wooyoung was bewildered.
"So, incase I don't get a ride.."
As Minho revealed all the details of the case, Wooyoung was stunned and in surprise . All this was a web of lie and they had just found out it's extent.
After listening to everything, Wooyoung couldn't help but be giddy knowing that he , coincidentally has another witness in the court.
"Don't worry, I got it all under control." Wooyoung said. " Come soon, I don't want you to miss out the fall of this person. I am about to question Kyunghee on the kidnapping scene."
" All the best."
Once the break was over , all the reporters and people settled down on the gallery , hoping to record one of the historic sentences.
" I would like to call Miss Park Kyunghee in the witness box ." Wooyoung asked to the judge who granted him the permission.
"Good morning." Wooyoung greeted. "I won't beat around the bush but I just want to know how do you know Kim Seungmin."
"We were classmates in middle school."
"When was the last time you met him before the day of jeongin's kidnapping?"
"We have not met after completing middle school. "
"Then how did you know where Seungmin lives?" Wooyoung asked.
"I met Lee Know at an engagement where he was with Yang Izumi and I recognized her from the pictures Seungmin had in his house when we were in middle school." Kyunghee answered. "I just guessed that she might still be in contact with seungmin."
Wooyoung smirked. He knew exactly what he was doing and he wanted to be sure about it.
Izumi had never really listened to Kyunghee's testimony in person but now that she did, something clicked in her head and made her gasp. Her eyes instantly travelled to Wooyoung who assured her with a nod, leaving her confused.
" Did Wooyoung found out what I was thinking?"
"Miss, Shall we start speaking the truth instead?" Wooyoung smirked.
"Huh?" Kyunghee was confused.
"You said you saw Izumi in Seungmin's middle school photos but Izumi did her middle school in Busan and met Seungmin only in highschool. You lied."
Izumi sighed in relief, this exactly what had clicked her a few moments ago.
"But-
"Who is Ha Eun's father?" Wooyoung cut her off.
"You cannot ask me private questions!"
"Oh I definitely can." Wooyoung gave her a fake smile. " Now, answer the question."
"I-umm so..i had her when I was 18 and uh-"
"You don't know who her father is because YOU STOLE HER FROM AN ADOPTION CENTER!!"
Everyone in the room gasped, specially Ara and Chan. They never knew of any such thing.
"WHAT NONSENSE ARE YOU SAYING?" Kyunghee yelled, certainly agitated by the allegations thrown at her.
"And Park Kyunghee, you did that so that your father will take you back in for the sake of the child you claimed to be yours but when he didn't, you wanted to die but you had sinister plans."
"What is going on?" The judge was confused.
" Sir, I talked to Mr. Lee Know a few moments ago . Please allow me to procced."
Getting a green signal from the judge, Wooyoung called another person at the witness box; Choi San.
San was Wooyoung's boyfriend and was rather confused about why he was called all of a sudden. He anxiously looked at his boyfriend who gave him an assuring look.
"Now, " Wooyoung showed a picture on the court room TV which was rather familiar to the investigating team. " San, can you identify this woman for us?"
" yes this is-"
Hyunjin stood up aggessively, horror evident in his eyes. Seungmin looked at him worried, his sudden action had cut off San.
"This women..." Hyunjin was shaking in fear. " She called the police for Seonghwa on that cold night of 2016."
Izumi, Changbin, Yeonjun and Chan exchanged a worried glance and with what San said next, everyone would be surprised as well.
"She is my cousin who passed away in 2014. "
San's voice wavered in uncertainity.
" Choi Ahreum aka Choi Soobin's sister.
