Chapter 3

Beau's POV~

I got off the ground and dusted myself off, "I know the past hurts Raven, but you have to come back. We need you, Raven; everyone's life depends on it!"

"NO!!" The clouds got dark, and the wind was making the trees and leaves rustle really fast and hard. I ran to her and hugged her tight.

Suddenly everything stopped, I looked her in her eyes. She looked tired and defeated. She fell to her knees and started sobbing hard and loudly. I've never seen her like this, she looks scared.

"Raven,"

"I can't Beau. I just can't. Everyone will be in more danger with me around."

"But Raven,"

"I can't do it! Even if I go back, what if I lose control again? I almost killed Sarah, what if do the same to him."

"It's been five years. I know you've been practicing with Selene; you've mastered your powers and then some. If father thought you weren't ready, he wouldn't have asked for your assistance. This will be good for you; you have to come to terms with your past."

It looked like I had talked some sense into her. She wiped her face and hugged me tightly. I returned the hug, I missed Raven. She's the only one who really gets me.

Raven's POV~

He was right, I now understand what Selene meant a few years ago. I can't run from the past, I'll keep hurting if I don't at least try. If father needs me, then it must be important.

I let him go and he wiped away my remaining tears. "Not to mention, how hilarious his face will be when he sees you're still alive."

We both laughed, his face will be priceless. I can't believe I got away with faking my death. "Alright, I'm in. When do we leave"

"Honestly, can we leave tomorrow? I'm exhausted, I've been flying for sixteen hours straight."

"That's perfect actually, I have to get my affairs in order. I'm going to call my assistants over; they're going to have to take over for me while I'm away."

"Alright, can we go inside now? I need a shower?"

"Yeah, let's go, you stink."

"Shut up."

During the walk back, I called Blake and Ruby and told them to come over for an emergency meeting. Me and Beau continued to laugh and catch up on what we missed out on the last few years.

~Time Skip 1 hour later~ (Authors Note, "This font means Blake is talking" "This font means Ruby is talking" "This means they're speaking in unison" I hope this is less confusing on who is speaking.")

Beau was upstairs taking a nap. I decided to stay downstairs and wait for the girls to come, I live a great deal away. The humans are okay, but I prefer my privacy.

Ten minutes later I heard my doorbell, I looked through the peep hole and seen it was the girls. I opened the door, and they embraced me in a hug.

"Thanks for coming girls. I need your help."

"Of course, anything for you Raven."

"What's the emergency?"

We walked into the living room and sat down, "Well to keep it brief, I have some family matters to attend to. My father needs me. I need you girls to watch over things for a while. I'm not sure when I'll be back."

"But Raven...We want to come with you."

"No Blake, you can't come. It's personal and too dangerous, I don't want to get you guys involved or possibly hurt."
