Chrys POV~
This guy gets impressed easily. I felt bad for him, well more his pack than him. I imagined there would be more of them, but there's only a handful of them left. Not even that.
They treated my sister horribly; I should hate them. But I can't bring myself to do it.
"Babe, let the forcefield down please." She was hesitant at first, but she did what I asked. She raised her hand and brought it down.
We walked up the stairs with Michael and his pack behind me.
"Sweetie, there's a piece of shit behind you."
I tried not to laugh, "Michael, this is my mate, Sarah."
"Nice to meet-"
"Kiss my ass. Chrys, I would like to speak to you please."
"After this meeting babe, I know we have a lot to talk about." I tried to kiss her on the cheek, she turned away from me and walked in the house.
"Did I...do something?"
"She'll be fine. Sarah was there the night your elder was killed. That's all I can say right now."
We walked in the house, and I led them to the biggest sitting room we have.
"Have a seat. Everyone in this room understands why you're all here correct?" Everyone nodded, "Good. Then there's no need to go into detail. I understand that a lot of people that you lost were friends, families, and mates."
As soon as I said the word mate almost everyone in the room started crying. I understand the pain they feel, if something happened to Sarah, I'm not sure what I would do.
I went and grabbed a few boxes of tissue and handed them out.
"I know it hurts. But if you want to avenge your fallen then you must-"
"But....I don't want to avenge them."
I looked over and seen it was Myra who spoke up, "Would you mind repeating that?"
She stood up. At first, she was trembling but quickly gathered her composure, "I don't want to avenge them, nor do I want revenge. We lost a lot of good-hearted people; they wouldn't want us looking for revenge."
There were a few murmurs, "Then tell me, what do you want Myra? What do you think they would want?"
"I want everything to go back the way they were. I want our fallen to rest in peace. I want my life back."
Everyone agreed, except for Michael. I could feel that he wanted to agree, but his pride won't let him. I can tell he has some resentment towards her, but why?
She sat down and I grinned, "In that case, me and my siblings will grant you the aid you've asked of us." They cheered and hugged each other saying that they've been saved. I guess it does feel good to help.
"Everyone here will treat each of you as our own. Don't expect any special treatment, tonight you're our guest. But tomorrow, you're one of us. Feel free to explore your new home. When my brother arrives, we will show you-"
"So that's all?"
I glanced over and I could see the annoyed look on his face, Michael's beta.
"Samuel, was it? What's the issue?"
He stood up and did a sarcastic chuckle, "The issue is that you just accepted us without a second thought."
"You're wrong. I had quite a few thoughts on the matter and in the end, I decided to help you and your pack. Is that not enough?"
