Prompt: "Pull your knife out of my back."
Pairing: Katsuki Bakugo x Reader

Bakugo couldn't believe his eyes. He was called earlier on today to a field. Some child got lost and he was sent by his hero agency to go and find them. Of course he didn't want to. He'd rather be ruining villain's days and showing up Deku. He tried to calm himself down as he landed in the field full of long grass.

He scanned the horizon and saw the vague outline of a figure. Too big to be a child. He walked over anyway preparing himself to save this person with some semblance of a smile. His fingers clenched into fists. With each step he took, he looked around him. Now that he thought about it, this field hadn't had much footfall and there weren't many buildings around either.

Was this a trap? Did he fall into a trap again? A sea of memories clashed into his mind. The villain from before U.A flashed in his mind and his heart started racing. Then the league of villains. So many of his classmates got injured because he got captured. He remembered the way his love had fought. He didn't want to admit it to anyone but he felt so weak and disappointed in himself.

His hands trembled and the short, sharp inhales threatened to push him into the brink of oblivion. When he finally looked up, his heart seemed to stand still in his chest. He couldn't seem to look away. It was you. It was really you. "Y/n?" he questioned, his voice faltered but it reached your ears all the same.

You turned and he felt his face drain of all colour and a queasy feeling pool in his stomach. Was this really you? He'd been looking for you day and night, even asking Todoroki and Deku about where you were after you had disappeared. No one knew where you had gone. Now... Now he thought he knew everything. The way he could see the veins in your skin, blackened from the dark liquid. The scars that marred your body were evident where parts of your clothing didn't cover you.

Your eyes, your beautiful e/c was now a vivid red. This couldn't be true. This had to be a nightmare. Beautiful, perfect, dainty you was now reduced to this? "Y/n?" he tried your name on his tongue again, you tilted your head slowly to the side. Bakugo shuddered at the sight, your movements looked so unnatural. Who did this to you?

He wasn't ready when you attacked him. The movements were so fast, he could barely keep up. Yelling your name over and over didn't seem to pull you out of whatever spell you were under. He scanned the long grass that suddenly seemed to twist and turn to lock him in place. Then the searing pain seeped into his body slowly and slowly until it radiated through his body. "Pull your knife out of my back," he managed to growl out. He was surprised that you had turned on him so fast. Not even giving a thought to your past.

There was blood running down your body, pooling on the floor beneath the two of you. "Dynamight," your voice trilled, distorted. Without taking his eyes off of you, he sent out a signal. It wasn't going to be his proudest moment but he had to ask for help, he didn't have the heart to fight you. It was weird to him, hearing his hero name fall from your lips. You usually called him a varying degree of names. Mainly it was Katsu.

His blood trickled down his back, clothes sticking to him. It hurt him so much to you like you like this. "You're late, Deku," he snapped as the number 1 hero landed next to him. Deku was looking at you the same way. Though Katsuki knew that Deku would be capable of keeping up with you and he would be capable of fighting with a clear head.

All Katsuki could do was watch the intense battle before him. You were finally pinned to the floor, squirming underneath Midoriya. "It's okay if you need to go, I can handle it from here," Deku spoke watching his frenemy closely. "Shut up Deku," he growled. Bakugo shuffled over to kneel before you. Your eyes were clearing up to the beautiful e/c colour he always knew. You looked so scared and lost.

"Katsuki,"

His name died weakly on your lips and your body slowly turned into an inky black mess. Katsuki let out a jagged breath finally closing his eyes and giving in to the tiredness that plagued his body. It was over now and you're going to be in a better place, not tormented or twisted. His only wish was that the two of you could've spent more time together
