Brand New - Dabi x Reader

Prompt: 'I saw you looking brand new overnight' 
Pairing: Dabi x Reader
Quirk: Light Manipulation - Quirk allows the user to manipulate light into anything they want. Drawbacks include: light sensitivity, headaches, burns, temporary blindness and in extreme misuse permanent blindness. 

I laid my head against his chest. I looked up at his peaceful face. His eyes were closed and he just looked peaceful. "What'cha thinking doll?" he asked opening one of his eyes. A slight movement later to adjust, he propped himself up on one arm to look at me. "You," I admitted. I couldn't lie to him but I couldn't tell him either. I wasn't lying by giving him the answer I wanted to give. He was always on my mind. 

I got accepted into U.A. High but I didn't want it to ruin our relationship. Dabi hummed and a cheeky smile made its way onto his face. When we're alone like this, he's vulnerable. "Then I'll give you a reason for me to be on your mind," he spoke before straddling me and kissing my neck softly. I wouldn't deny anything he asked of me. If he asked me to be his forever then I'd gladly accept.

It was a late start at U.A but I bet I've done what they have at Shiketsu. "Lucky you Y/n, you get to go camping as your first thing here," Mina pouted. I wasn't quite sure that a training camp was going to be fun after all the processes I've had to get into this school. They were sceptical that I wanted to join this school after the USJ incident. I'm trying to convince them so hard that I'm not here to spy or give intel to the press. I'm just here on recommendations. 

"Come shopping with us," asked Ochaco, I nodded with a smile. This was a lot to take in. There was a lot going on. I joined while there was work studies and then that Deku kid got into a massive fight with some villain during his work study. I was thankful that he returned safe. I was beginning to miss Dabi. I haven't seen him a lot lately. He said he had work and that he'd make it up to me. 

We walked around the stores the next day and we all split up. I hope what I was getting was right. The mall closed earlier than expected due to Deku and Ochaco having close contact with a villain. They said that he had disappeared into the crowd and thankfully didn't hurt anyone. That was another close call and people were starting to talk. 

"Are you sure it's safe for you to go?" asked my Mother. Not that she'd care anyway. She's always off on her one night stands or on some fancy cruise with the next CEO of a company. I nodded and left the house for school. The journey to wherever the hell we were going was long and I wanted to get off. Everyone was making too much noise and being too rowdy for my liking. We pulled over to take a break. 

The forest looked lush and I was happy to get to stretch my legs. We found out that we had to make it to the base of the mountain in 3 hours or we won't get any dinner. Fuck. I didn't even had that good of a quirk. It was just one that allowed me to use light to create weapons or to turn the light into anything I wanted. It's useless in darkness but I guess it can be useful. 

We got there just as the sun was setting. My head hurt and all I wanted to do was sit in the dark for a bit. The lights around me were too bright. I know my quirk has been tested over the years and had gotten pretty strong but this wasn't strong enough. No where near strong enough if I were to go up against villains. We got served food just for tonight. With every bite, I couldn't help but wish to eat Dabi's cooking. He always knew what to make and even surprised me with my favourite meals. Of course that's when my Mother is out of town. 

He was always and will always be my safe space. I relaxed in the water and closed my eyes. At least the headache has worn off. There were noises coming from the boys side of the wall. I guess it was Mineta. I hated the way he stared at me. Kota, I think the little boys name was, whacked Mineta down before he could look at us while we were bathing. Dabi wouldn't like it very much if he found out what was happening. In fact he'd fry Mineta and I'd have to beg him not to kill him.
