Chapter 5: Mouse in the House!

When Nico first moved in George's neighborhood, he didn't find any stray mice, just a few stray dogs and little critters.. Nico was wondering if he'll meet any mice in the streets or anywhere else..

Nico then went outside to find some mice, he checked everywhere, from houses, tight nooks crevices, backyards and gardens. He couldn't even find a single mice..

"Gee.. I wonder where all the mice are..?" Said Nico to himself.. Nico then went back home. As he sat down on his cat bed, he suddenly got an idea..
He then asked George if there were any nearby forests around.. George said that there was a nearby forest that was a great place for camping, as they agreed to go out tomorrow.

The next day, they went out to the forest.. they were searching for hours and hours, but didn't find any mice. Just bugs, birds, and squirrels. As Nico was trying to find his way back to George, he heard a squeak nearby.
Nico rushed towards the sound and saw a mouse nibbling on an acorn

As Nico was about to approach the mouse, it ran away. He then heard George shout that they were leaving, Nico went back. Back in the house, Nico told them that he found a mouse, he just wished he caught it.

Suddenly, a squeak came from the kitchen as they rushed to find a mouse eating the leftover chicken on the plate. Sean barked but to Nico, he yelled "MOUSE IN THE HOUSE!" As George, Nico, and Sean chased after the mouse, the chase continued for over 10 minutes until the mouse was cornered.

Nico then realized that it was the mouse from earlier, he calmly said "Hey don't worry, we're not here to hurt you, we wanna help you" but the mouse was still terrified.. George rushed to the kitchen and came back with cheese..

"Do you wanna live here? We'll give you food and shelter" said George. The mouse just squeaked as Nico said that the mouse said "sure." George then added "You look like a female.. how does the name Belle sound?"
Again, Belle squeaked meaning "yes"
