Chapter 11: Hidden Underground

Nico was wondering around the street. He then saw a stone tile slightly off of its position. Nico moved the tile and saw a ladder. "I should tell sir George about this" said Nico to himself.

"W-what?? An underground base?" Said George and Nico answered "yes"
"Interesting... I'll see if we can somehow enter."
"I'll ask the neighbors if they know anything about it" George added.

"I think we should go now since it's not snowing." Suggested Nico and George just nodded. They all put on their warm clothes and went to where the underground base was.

They said it belonged to a family who built it 7 years ago. They built it because it would come in handy if there ever was something bad happening there. They reached the where the underground base is, but Sean is a bit worried. "I don't think we should go in there.." Sean said but Belle insisted they should go. They then decided to go in.

Inside was all dirty and dusty. It was full of large unopened boxes, barrels, and crates. George's close friend and neighbor, Mitchelle decided to tag along too. "I never there are still unopened boxes here.." said Mitchelle and Nico agreed. "It's kinda weurd that your pets are talking" she added. And Nico said "I am the only one that can talk, miss Mitchelle."

They decided to open up some boxes and see what's inside. Inside were full of canned foods, chocolate, oatmeal, and other food. Most of the food is expired. "Mm~ this chocolate tastes good"
"Too bad you guys can't eat it" George added but George gave small amounts to Belle since it's slightly toxic to mice.
They opened up barrel and inside was a... HUMAN SKELETON?!?

What was a human skeleton doing inside a barrel? They decided to head back above to report this to the police. The underground base was now being investigated by the police. They that the human skeloton was bought by he family but they weren't so sure.

"Maybe we shouldn't have been there.." said Sean. George decided that they should contact the family that built the underground base. If they decided to take their stuff and leave, the underground bunker can be a huge use to George and his pets.
