Sonic/Splatoon Crossover (Story Mode: Part 1)

Chapter 7: Callie's Drama

Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Agent 3 came out of the Boss Kettle as they saw that Agents 1 and 2 were gone and it was night. The plug short circuited as access to the final area was open. Sonic looked to see a note on the floor near the kettle.

"It's a note from Agents 1 and 2." Sonic said.

"What does it say?" Knuckles asked.

"I'll read it." Tails said as Sonic handed him the note.

The note read:

We went back to Inkopolis to rest up. But congrats on getting the last Zap-Orb. We'll meet back with you in the morning.

- Agents 1 and 2

"Sounds like Agents 1 and 2 went to rest for tomorrow." Agent 3 said.

"I guess we'll head back up too." Sonic said.

"Yeah. It is late." Amy said as she yawned.

"I'll make the kettles visible tomorrow when I wake up." Agent 3 said.

"Alright. See you tomorrow." Knuckles said.

Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles left Octo Valley and went back to Inkopolis to rest up for tomorrow.

The 4 four inklingized teens came out of the manhole and were back in their normal clothes they were given by the Squid Sisters. Callie and Marie came out from the alley in their public clothes looking for Sonic and the others when they ran back into each other.

"There you are." Marie said.

"Where have you been all this time?!" Callie said panicked.

"What's with Callie?" Sonic asked.

"She's been frantically worried about you guys since you didn't come back after the newscast." Marie replied.

"Ignore Marie!" Callie said. "We've been looking for you for hours! You didn't even tell me-I mean us!" She blushed a little through the anger and worry on her face.

"We were helping some guy named Cap'n Cuttlefish with some work on getting the power restored. Sorry, we forgot to tell you." Tails apoligized.

"We are heroes back in our world after all." Amy said.

"Oh, no, it's fine." Callie said with a quick change of tone.

Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles went back to the studio with the Squid Sisters.

When the 6 Inklings got back, Sonic, Amy, and Tails went in their room for bed to rest up for tomorrow. Callie immediately throws her arms around Knuckles hugging him. He hugged back. Marie was snickering in the background watching them. They both let go in embarrassment, blushing all the while.

"No, no, you lovebirds can continue if you want." Marie said.

Knuckles and Callie blushed deeper as Marie walked away. They both just stood there silently. He looked at her and saw that she looked a bit fatigued.

"Are you okay?" Knuckles asked. "You look tired."

"Well, me and Marie looked everywhere for you guys." Callie said.

"I'm going to point out that Marie was laughing at us and she didn't look that tired." Knuckles replied.

Callie becomes a bit flustered and said: "Well, I stayed up all night worrying about you, and you never came back and I..." She paused and starts crying and continued. " I thought you got hurt or something and I got worried and..." She stops talking as Knuckles hugs her.
