I was about to start my first day at work. I wasn't going to be doing anything special since finishing at university, it's just a part time shift in a music shop opposite the Starbucks in town. I woke up pretty early, knowing I was going to have to make a good impression on my first day. I'd already had my shower and sat in my towel on my laptop for an hour, so I figured I should probably start getting ready since I had to be there for 9:30am and it was 8:00am already.

I dried my mid-length blonde hair and straightened it, I'm going to have to dye it again soon, I figured to myself as I looked at my reflection, my roots were starting to show. It wasn't so bad since I was naturally strawberry-blonde anyway, but it looked odd. I dressed myself in a Batman t-shirt, high-waisted shorts and tights and my navy blue Vans. I hopped cheerily down the stairs, humming a little tune I made up on the spot, grabbed my keys and phone and headed out of the door to work. Plugging in my earphones, I noticed I was skipping, slightly, in time to the music, I must be in a pretty good mood.

I reached work just in time and began to sort the CD's on the rack, the door went so I headed over to the checkout and signed into the till. My boss had gone out and wouldn't be back until my shift was over, so I was in on my own. Three men came over and were all ridiculously tall compared to me, for a girl I'm fairly tall, but they were all well over 6 foot.

"Hey, how can I help?" I said cheerfully to the one with black, choppy hair.

"Hey, we're looking for the new Muse and Panic! At The Disco albums for our friend, it's nearly his birthday and he hasn't got them yet, do you know where I can find them?" He replied with a cheeky grin on his face.

"Sure, they're over here, come on!" I took them to the section they were in a found the newest albums for them.

"Are you a fan of Muse or Panic!'?" The boy with the brown curly hair asked.

"I wouldn't call myself an obsessive fan but I like the songs. I like the sort of pop-punk to metal genre, so I like quite a few of them!" I only realised I was rambling when I saw their faces. "Sorry I go off on one when someone asks me about music." I screwed my face up by my mouth and looked them all in the eyes.

We stood there in an awkward silence for a few seconds, until one of the boys piped up saying they should pay for them.

"Why don't I get you a discount? These albums aren't exactly cheap because they're new." I knew my staff discount would come in handy at some point, coincidently, just when three rather attractive males want to buy expensive CD's.

"That would be great! Hey, we never got your name? I'm Phil, this is PJ, and this is Chris!" The one with the black hair said gesturing to the curly haired lad, then the skinny, smiley one.

"I'm Brookelyn, but everyone knows me as Brooke, it's nice to meet you all!" I said slightly embarrassed at my full name. I hated being called Brookelyn, my parents had a thing for New York when they were younger, so they named me after Brooklyn Bridge, but stuck an e in there to be 'original'.

"Maybe we can treat you to Starbucks later? On your break maybe, or after work? What time do you get off?" PJ asked eagerly, with a charming smile and a sparkle in his bright green eyes.

"I get off at noon, but I finish work at half one, so I could spend all afternoon with you after work if you liked?" God, I sounded so desperate to hang out with them.

"That's perfect, take our numbers," He said, as I handed over my phone to the lads, " Give us a ring or text us and we'll meet you there!"

"Okay see you later!"

The chime of the door went again as they walked out of the shop and to wherever they were spending their day. My heart fluttered a bit, I recognised all three of them, but I didn't want to make a fuss since they'd acted so normal towards me. I didn't feel like fan-girling at that moment, but seeing AmazingPhil, KickthePJ and Crabstickz just casually cruise through the shop I work at seemed too good to be true. I guessed they were describing Dan when they were talking about their friend since they were all part of the Fantastic Foursome. I might give him his present I'd planned on sending to his PO Box before he closed it, and maybe get him a jokey little card or something like that.

Anyway, 1:30 finally came around and I got out my phone and rang Phil,

"Hey, my shift's just ended I'm ready when you are! I'll meet you in Starbucks, upstairs!" I said a little bit too fast, he seemed to understand though.

"Great we're just around the corner, we'll be there in about 5 minutes, see you Brooke!"
