sunday

it had already been past ten when keonhee finally got into bed and pulled the bedsheets over his legs. he closed his eyes, turned around to get comfortable and almost drifted off to sleep when his phone suddenly rang.

"what jerk is calling me at this hour?" he groaned and opened one eye to look at the bright screen of his phone. when he saw the caller id, he groaned again. of course it's seoho.

"what do you want?"

"hey, i'm... i'm sorry if i'm bothering, you sound annoyed. i just wanted to ask if you maybe want to spend some time with me."

seoho sounded a little sad and keonhee's upper body shot up to sit straight now.

"are you okay?"

"i don't know. i just don't want
to be alone right now."

"where are you?"

"uhm... i'm in front of your house."

keonhee let out a chuckle and didn't know if he should be surprised by seoho already standing in front of the door or not. he told him to wait until he'd come down and then hung up. keonhee decided to just leave on the sweatpants and shirt he was wearing since he changed into those not even half an hour ago and made his way downstairs, already seeing the silhouette of seoho displaying on the milky glass of the door. when keonhee opened it, seoho turned around and smiled weakly.

"keonnie."

"hey..." keonhee welcomed him and gave him a warm smile, figuring that seoho must be happy about seeing him. he was dressed the same way as keonhee, black sweatpants and a loose hoodie. he didn't know the reason for seoho's visit yet but he was sure he'd know what was going on soon.

"i know it's late but... do you want to take a walk?" seoho asked and keonhee didn't have to think long. he agreed with a nod and walked back in to grab a hoodie too, then locked the door behind him.

"i know a place nearby, let's go there." keonhee said and seoho followed him.

they walked close to each other as they were walking down the silent street, none of them saying a word. seoho let his eyes wander up to the dim streetlights and he enjoyed keonhee's company even though no words were said. that was all he wanted... company. he could've called someone else, met up with someone else but seoho's heart was longing for keonhee with every breath and the comfort the younger gave him was different from anything else, different from any other person.

their elbows would brush against each other's every now and then due to both resting their hands in the pockets of their hoodies and they'd look at each other whenever it happened, sharing a short eye contact before seoho would break it to focus his eyes on the view in front of him. keonhee smiled weakly and a thought crossed his mind. he didn't know if seoho would like what he had in mind... but keonhee did acknowledge the fact both of them had gotten way closer than before, especially because of the thing they had going on. they spent a lot of time together - more than before - and it almost felt like they were actually dating to keonhee... emphasizing the word almost.
