when their lips parted again, hwanwoong watched him attentively and propped his head up with his elbow. "what is it that makes you feel this stressed, jo?"
youngjo sighed. "it's the art piece i need to finish until next monday."
"what does it have to be about?"
"mr. park wants us to draw our most favorite view but other than you i don't know what my favorite view is." youngjo said with honesty and hwanwoong felt his heart flutter at those words. what the older said did warm his heart but he couldn't let the opportunity for a joke slide.
"then draw me like one of your french girls." he said and laughed when youngjo's eyes widened. he laughed too at that and thought the titanic reference was funny.
when their laughter died down, they just looked at each other and their gazes were soft and light. obviously hwanwoong's joke caused youngjo's mind to wander to other places, the - draw me like your french girls - phrase was referring to a naked woman after all and he couldn't help but imagine it for a brief moment. he loved hwanwoong, more than he could ever put it into words and he wanted to be close to him. close in every way possible. for a second he allowed his mind to show him the imagination of his boyfriend's bare delicate skin, the way his body would feel against his own and his eyes fluttered shut for a moment as warmth filled his veins.
hwanwoong's eyes never left youngjo's face and he watched his boyfriend attentively as he felt the mood change. he was dying to know what the taller was thinking about but of course he couldn't read his mind so he just... waited. waited for youngjo to make a step - if he wanted to because hwanwoong would never force him to do anything he didn't want to do - and tried to keep his breathing calm and steady.
youngjo's eyes opened again and immediately locked with hwanwoong's. he let out a weak and shaky breath before bringing up his slightly trembling hand to place it on the blond male's shoulder. his fingers slowly brushed over the fabric of hwanwoong's shirt, over the sleeve and the skin of his arm until he reached the younger's hand. chills ran down hwanwoong's spine at the slow and precise touch of youngjo's fingertips and when they stopped moving, hwanwoong started to let his fingers stroke up the older's arm, stopping at his shoulder before he asked youngjo a question.
"what are you thinking about?"
youngjo's eyes shifted from hwanwoong's left to right eye a few times, trying to read his emotions and he came to the conclusion that the smaller was not teasing him this time, he didn't look like he was in the mood of joking either. hwanwoong understood that this was serious, his boyfriend looked a little uncertain and nervous and he didn't want to scare him away by stupid things like a joke. the last thing the blond male wanted was to let youngjo think he didn't take him serious or wanted to make fun of him.
he let his hand move up from youngjo's shoulder to his neck, slowly bringing his hand up to his cheek which he cupped softly and his fingertips were now buried in the taller's soft hair. the ring youngjo gave hwanwoong for his birthday was now touching his already burning skin and it was a nice contrast to the warmth that was covering his cheeks.
"you can tell me."
hwanwoong's voice sounded so calm and warm and youngjo felt at ease hearing his boyfriend's comforting voice. he inhaled and exhaled before bringing his hand up to softly wrap it around hwanwoong's wrist.
"what if... we did it now?" he asked quietly, scared hwanwoong wouldn't want to or even worse, would feel forced to just because he asked. his thoughts were getting the best of him while the smaller just studied his face and he ended up looking down on the bedsheets, the gaze of his boyfriend feeling a little too intimidating as there was still a lack of answer.
