𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠

The alarm on henrys phone went off- from "my"  bed otherwise known as the bottom bed of the trundle bed I could hear my best friend Henry groan presumably in annoyance soon accompanied by a thud as he tried to hit the phones "Snooze" setting to stop the stupid beeping. I also heard shuffling assuming that it was henry just trying to get comfortable again and going back to bed.

It was about 7:00 in the morning the time henrys alarm is always set for. I got up and yawned and stretched a bit. I felt sorta bad for henry, well in a way. Last night we studied for our band quiz and by we I mean me and he just sits there trying to build his stupid lego ship.

I look over at henry his soft features relaxed, It made me smile a bit. 

The door abruptly opened making me jump and snapping me out of my random thoughts. "Oh good morning Amber! Nice to see that you're already up." Mrs. Fraser smiled warmness radiating off of her. She always made me feel so safe I truly did love her like a second mother. "Do you mind trying to get henry up? He's so lazy it makes me sick." we both stifle a laugh. "Of course! you go get ready and well be ready in a bit" I say. "Ugh, I love you Amber henrys so lucky to have you." I smile as she closes the door,

"Henry get up! don't make me get your dad." I said teasing he loves his dad so dearly and i couldn't blame him his dad's a really sweet guy.

"Alright alright, I'm up" we both laugh.

"Okay well I've got my stuff I'm gonna head to the ba-"

I was interrupted by my phone I went to go pick it up when I saw 

𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦: 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞 ☼

"ugh it's Elle hold on henry you go get ready I gotta answer this." he smiled and went to the other bathroom/his bathroom and got ready.

"Goodmorning Elle." I said once I answered the phone.

"ugh I hate you! why don't you ever tell me where you're going! your such a bitch"

"Aw, I love you so much too! I'm at henrys."

"Yeah, I kinda figured after a while. Anyways you two need a ride?"

"yeah sure that would be great thanks"

"Mk talk to you in a bit love you."

"love you Ellie."

𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝.

Henry came out of the bathroom dressed and ready for school just as the call finished. He tells me to go get ready which I do.

I Head downstairs after i got ready it took me ages because i wanted to look presentable. Henry told me i always looked fine so i felt a bit more comfortable.

As soon as I was downstairs I heard the loud noise of a blender going 

"It's crap! It's Cra- Could you just turn that down a bit please!" Mr. Fraser yelled over the loud noise of the blender to henry.

I Look at henry who's on his phone holding the blender lid down.

"what?" He says looking up from his phone and to his dad

"Could you just turn that down a bit please I'm trying to concentrate on an operation here maybe just turn down the volume on that thing!" Mr. Fraser says annoyed, He's a doctor and specializes in treating patients for cancer so i understand as to why he needs to concentrate

"what?! Blenders don't have volume control" Henry says

"well that's a pathetic excuse just turn it down anyways." Mr. Fraser says while trying to tie his tie.

Henry stops the blender.

"I wish You were more like amber, she actually listens." Says henrys dad. I laugh a little 

"yeah yeah sure you don't know her As I do," says henry raising his eyebrows at me. I roll my eyes and grab some fruit from the fruit bowl.

"Dad?" Henry says "yes son?"

"I did some research last night-"

"yes?" his dad says skeptically

"On golden doodles," Henry says as he pours his smoothie into a flask to take to school

"Oh God!" his dad says and I laugh as henry puts the remainder of the smoothie in another flask for me.

"they don't shed! they're hypoallergenic!" he says arguing with his dad

"No, No No"

"And they're really really really cute." he finishes

"No no," Mr. Fraser points to me "Tell him! We cant Have a dog!"

"But Why dad??" Henry whines. "Oh come on don't try and get amber on your side!"

"henry just listen to him!" I whine not wanting to get caught in this exact argument AGAIN.

"Because as I've said before when I'm around them my throat closes up and I could die!

"But but-"

"No why can't you have another pet like a hamster or- I don't know what kids have these days have a- Have a vampire bat." Mr. Fraser says struggling to tie his tie.

henry suddenly looks at his dad from handing me my smoothie, "Is that a promise?"

"yes that is a promise." His dad replies.

"Like the promise of road trip two? Just you and me?" Henry says "Come on amber Remember that," He says looking at me

I don't respond even though I do remember, I pretend to be interested in something else.

"that's a low blow, That will happen," His dad says

"Will it?" henry says.

"shit my violin!" Henry says out of nowhere.

"Oh great," I say remembering I left mine upstairs as well.

Me and Henry run up to go and get them.

"Henry! Your stupid sheet music" I say. Ours was mixed up don't ask me how it was nearly midnight we were practicing til.

"It's fine it's fine! Mr. Rosenthal Will understand" He reassures me

"I hope so that guy has a stick up his ass," I say.

henry laughs and we run downstairs.

We walk into Mr. and Mrs. Fraser having a conversation.

"Oh great, so I have Reardon and your dad in the same week?" Mr. Fraser says as me and henry put on our backpacks and grab our things

"I'm just the luckiest guy in New York!" He says sarcastically, Mrs. Fraser laughs 

"Don't you like Reardon?" Henry asks

"Well do you two like Reardon? Do you two like your school?"

"yeah," We say hesitantly

"Alright then that solves it, Come on kiss your mum I think Elle is waiting outside for you two"

"what no I'm not kissing mom you do it!" Henry argues

"You need to clean this mess up!" Mrs. Fraser says looking at Henry

Henry starts walking out the door.

"Henry! Henry!" She says, "What?!" He replies

"No more smoothies! I'm not dealing with this mess EVERY day!"

I laugh and thank them again for letting me spend the night and we head out the door and into Elles car.
