Protecting Secrets :
(The Secrets of the President's Security Guard)
Chapter 14
"MOVE! NOW!" Dee yelled, pushing people out of her way as she ran down the halls of the international airport. Normally, she would never be so harsh, and rude to people. But drastic situations calls for drastic measures. The president and his family were in this Airport! Davina couldn't let anything happen to those guys... And Chris. She could never let anything happen to Chris...
Up ahead, she could see the two men, walking at a brisk pace. She slowed her own pace drastically, pushing all other thoughts out of her mind and allowing herself to fully concentrate on the men in front of her.
They were determined to blend into the crowd, and to look as least suspicious as bad guys could possibly look. Dee had been searching for the two of them, and found that their attitudes where what helped light them up like a flashing light. They become easy to identify from a distance. Dee followed them from her position quite a bit away, where she knew they wouldn't suspect her to be tailing them. She knew that they were too far away from her though, to be able stop them and whatever drastic plan there were aiming on going through with. Spotting a family further ahead, she instantly determined that they were close enough to the men that pretending to be a part of the family could actually work for her. Despite it being an incredibly cliché move, she dodged a few people and hurried towards the family.
Dee ended up being only several steps behind them, failing along and dragging her feet as though she really didn't want to be there. Her heart was pounding as she watched the family look curiously at the security guards running the opposite direction to the way they were heading, but they all chose to ignore the signs that something was drastically wrong, and continue on their merry way. Not that Dee was complaining. By pure coincidence, the family was following the same direction as the two escapees. By following the family, when the men broke away and disappeared behind a staff access door, Davina was only several meters away, and was able to continue to silently follow them.
The men were in deep discussion when she entered their hall. Then looked at her, as though expecting someone else, and frowned deeply when they noticed that it was just a teenager.
"Gentlemen," she nodded politely.
"This is restricted access. For staff personal only. You need to leave." The tallest of the men spoke with an accent thick with southern tones. Dee smiled warmly as her eyes twinkled slightly. Her heart was pumping. Not with fear, but with anticipation. She was about to catch her prey. This is what she does best.
"My doing here is none of your concern." She stated simply, as she approached them both. She noticed that they didn't move as she came closer, didn't draw any weapons or even threaten her. Dee realised that indicated that the men had removed all their weapons before entering. Airport is always difficult when you are trying to carry knives, guns, or explosives around. Wonder why.
Davina Ingland's smile went from warm, to slide into that representing a smirk. "However, you are not meant to be here either. Unfortunately, I am here to make sure you go - to where people are waiting, so eargly, for you!"
With one push of her legs, she was next to man who seemed to be a quite listener, having not spoken to her yet. With tremendous force, and a slight flick, she threw the man into the wall, knocking him successfully out.
With a twist, Dee turned on the remaining man. From this close distance, the man's true bulk was evident. Davina was essentially just a young girl, so at her full height she barely reached his shoulders. When the man had seen her throw his partner into the wall, his surprise had turned into defence. She noticed that he held his hands before him, ready to protect himself, yet his eyes keep flickering towards the door.
