Chris didn't hesitate. He wrapped his arm around Issy, dragging her out of bed and over to Dee. Dee was waiting, and pulled the young, slightly shocked, girl into her embrace. She let Chris urgently shuffled them out of the room, and he frantically dialled a few numbers.

"Evan! You need to put me onto head of security. NOW!"  His voice was deep, controlled. He was the one making the decisions, calling the shots. Evan, the man responsible for the running of the majority of this house, seemed confused as to the urgency, but did what he was instructed to do.

Dee let Chris sweep the two of them away, out of harm's way until they understood what was going on. As he his phone was linked through, Dee noticed how he strived as the person in control. For so long, it had been her doing everything, sorting everything out. And she was no doubt good at it! But this was different. Chris needed to help others: when anyone was in danger, his automatic reaction is to do absolutely everything in his power to help them. By her helping him straighten out, she has enabled him to actually do something with his life. Instead of being the drunken idiot whom is always a hindrance, he was now the one to save everyone.

And she was so proud.

Chris had gone and fetched both Ryan and Sara from their own beds, and the three children were sitting on the floor a little way down the hall. Without words, Dee and Chris had positioned themselves either side of the children, looking down their respective hallways, on very high alert. The first members of security only took a minute to reach them. The moment they stepped into sight, Chris had ordered them to strip Issy's room to bits.

They were all in the middle of a massive search, with more and more people joining the group every moment, by the time the head of security arrived. Dee recognised him immediately. Upon her initiation into this security job, she had researched a little into him, and a few other members of the household. Mr Higgins was a tall man, with dark skin, and heavy brows that casted deep shadows along his face. He had worked in security for almost 50 years, and was more than sufficient at his job. However, Dee was under the impression that he didn't alter his methods, or wasn't interested in changing in any way. He wasn't particularly what one would call, a modern thinker.

Mr Higgin's took one look at the children huddled in the hallway, at Dee and Chris standing protectively around them, and frowned.

"Get these kids out of here. Immediately! And how is it that nobody can tell me exactly what the HELL is going on?" He barked. Chris turned.

"We have reason to believe that Issy's room had been broken into. We have no idea who it could be, or where they are, so I believe that-"

"You are the new kid, right?" Chris's eyebrow rose at the Head of Security's abrupt question.

"I personally feel that we have a little bit more important things to do than question if I am 'new' or not." Chris snapped. Definitely would not be considered the right thing to do, right this second.

Mr Higgins turned around to face him directly, indicating that Dee's worried about Chris's words was right.

"Why are the children still here? Get them out! And while you are at it, remove this-" he frowned at Chris, "-Boy too."

"Listen to me! I am the one who called you here. You have to listen to me. You absolutely can't move those kids!"  He yelled back at them, as a few men tried to pull him away. Dee groaned a little, as she watched Mr Higgins allow his anger at being ordered around by a very young adult, to distract him from the truth. Before either of the two could say anymore, and dig any more holes for themselves, Dee found herself taking instead.

"Will you both just SHUT UP!?!" Silence eventually fell into the hallway. "Mr Higgins. Chris is right when he says that my cousins should not be moved. We don't know what is at action here. Moving them could be taking them straight into the waiting hands of whoever broke in. They must stay here, where they can be watched, and guarded safely."
