Shikamaru POV
Our sleep was interrupted not long after Naruto had laid down with me. Slowly, my body had got out of his arms and made it's way to the door. After unlocking it, he opened the door with an annoyed look on his face. Kakashi did his signature eye smile and wave. "Yo Shikamaru, where is Naruto?" His thoughts automatically were 'What a drag' But his voice finally rang out. "He's napping. Things have been rough at home for him." The masked ninja nodded. "Well, I just came to drop off some paperwork and a bottle Sake. It's officially been 4 years since he's taken over as Hokage." He handed the bottle and paperwork to Shikamaru then shushined away. The lazy man sighed and took the items and sat them on the desk.
Third POV
Naruto had woken up at the tail end of the conversation. He yawned and sat up on the edge of the make shift bed. "I guess we have to work now." The fox Hokage made his way to his desk, sitting down. Their day had officially began; even though their minds were still stuck on cuddling that happened this morning. Throughout the entirety of the day both were stealing glances at each other. After hours and hours of work, both ninjas decided to call it day. It was kind of late, around 9pm. Naruto leaned back in his seat and yawned slightly. "Shika, you can go on home if you want. The kids are with Hinata so I'll probably just stay here. Maybe do some work for tomorrow." Shikamaru didn't want to go home. He didn't want to see Temari. All he wanted to do was be by Naruto's side. "It's fine. She knows I'll probably stay late." He grabbed the bottle of Sake, opening it. "It's been 4 years. Cheers to greatest Hokage" He poured both of them a cup and handed Naruto his. The whiskered man grinned and took the cup. They both clinked their glasses together and drank. Unbeknownst to them, the Sake and celebration would be a beginning to a teasing night.
Time had gotten lost as they continued to drink the entire bottle. Both were visibly drunk and maybe a little excited.
