Third POV
Naruto hated to upset Hinata. He wanted to make her happy, but he couldn't do that. "Hina, you really are an amazing woman. You deserve so much more." Boruto listened in to his parents conversation. It made him angry; his father had already missed so much of his and Himawari's life. He ran down the stairs with tears in his eyes. "How could you do this to mom?! You are the reason she isn't happy!" Boruto couldn't take it; he ran out of the house. Naruto looked down at the ground, hating himself even more. Hinata's soft voice spoke as her hand rubbed his back. "He's just upset. We have to give him some time. This will be hard on the kids." At that moment Himawari came down and crawled in her father's lap. She placed her tiny hands on his cheeks. "It's okay daddy." That's when the tears fell hard from his eyes. His arms wrapped around both girls, hugging them tight. Even Kurama was trying to soothe Naruto in his mindscape.
~TIME SKIP~
Hours had passed as the broken couple figured out living arrangements. Naruto told Hinata that she can have the house while he gets an apartment. She had tried to explain that she could go back to the Hyuga compound, but Naruto wouldn't budge. Himawari had fallen asleep, holding tight to her father. Unfortunately Boruto still hasn't returned. About an hour later, Himawari was tucked into bed and Naruto was going to head out looking for his son. Soon the doorbell rang, Hinata ran to the door opening it. There stood Sasuke with Boruto. Sasuke looked to Hinata and Naruto with a knowing look. "Seems you might be missing someone. He came over to the compound and spent time with Sarada." Boruto ran inside, pushing past his parents. Sasuke continued. " And he explained in his own way, of what's happening. I'm sorry." Naruto nodded to him. "Thanks Sasuke.. and umm, please don't say anything. We're trying to figure stuff out for the kids." Sasuke nodded to them both and disappeared in a puff of smoke. Hinata closed the door, then walked over to the couch. "Naruto-kun, this is going to be difficult. Not only for you and I, but for our kids. Maybe Hima can come to work with you while Boruto is in class." He sat down beside of Hinata, taking her hand gently. "We'll figure this out. And yeah, that would be great. I'm sure she would love it." Hinata stood up, smiling some "I'm going to bed. Goodnight Naruto-Kun." She left him sitting there as she went to the room they once shared. Hinata was heartbroken but she wouldn't be selfish.
