ONE WEEK LATER
Time has went by slowly but in a blur. Naruto felt as if his body was on auto pilot. Eventually, he found himself a house big enough for when the kids would stay with him. Boruto refused to speak with his father but Himawari still looked up to him.
Naruto POV
"Another day in the office." He sighed and finally made his way into the hokage tower. He had left a few clones to finish moving his things to the new place. He hated himself for multiple reasons. When stepping into his office, he sees Shikamaru sitting in his chair asleep. A smile played on his lips as he walked over. He hung up his robe and hat, then gently caressed the lazy genius' cheek. Without thinking, Naruto slid his arms around Shika and picked him up bridal style. Carefully walking over to the make shift bed and laying him down. Shikamaru had stayed last night to finish up for Naruto while made arrangements at home.
Shikamaru POV
Staying all night was exhausting but he had to do it for his lov-- his hokage. Without realizing he had fallen asleep in the Hokages chair. He felt arms wrap around him, but decided to stay asleep. Once his body hit the bed, he opened his eyes some to see the mystery person. That sunshine blonde hair was the first thing he had seen. Shikas body reacted before his mind could catch up. His hand reached up, taking Naruto's hand. He gently tugged on it, signaling tht he wanted him to stay. Naruto was visibly torn but had walked away to the door. Shikamaru wouldn't admit it but that hurt him. A frown was on his lips until he seen Naruto lock the door. He had walked back over to the bed, getting beside Shikamaru.
Third POV
Shikamaru and Naruto both felt conflicted. But soon Naruto didn't care as he wrapped his arm around Shikas waist while his head laid on his chest. A small smile played on the lips of the laziest man. Instinctively his arms wrapped around the blonde haired fool and planted a soft kiss on top of his head. Time stopped and the moment was perfect.
