First Getting There

"Their uniforms read the letters "TVA," seemed mysterious but stupid," (Y/N) thought to herself. Let's simply say that the days, or hours, hasn't been very kind to (Y/N) mentally. With losing her love for the 3rd time technically, it can really do something to you. Especially with some new characters coming to take her away to arrest her. At least she surprised them by going with them willingly, they didn't have to keep a hand on her at all times. As they all walked back into the orange rectangle portal, her eyes caught a small glimpse of a device they were putting on the ground. Either way, they arrived at this place that felt like a DMV from the 60's. It was very orange with slight yellow tones, a bit of hurt on the eyes.

Multiple people were working at the desk in the center of the room, people in lines with their own "chaperone" to each of them. Their were two people in front of (Y/N) and her soldier, so after some silence she decided to make some talk. "Is this a shock collar?" (Y/N) asked him. He didn't answer at first, so she turned back to look in the front. "No, it's not. From the looks of it, I'm not going to use it that much. No point in knowing what it is then," He answered. She nodded, keeping her mouth shut for the rest of the trip. The people in front of them walked away, so they walked up and the man behind the desk handed the soldier a clipboard, "Hello, sir!" (Y/N) smiled sweetly, "Hi" "Hello to you as well, Ma'am!" The guy finished his paperwork soon after. (Y/N) nodded to his tie, "I like your tie." He couldn't respond fast enough, since she was directed away from the desk. They walked towards an elevator with a lever on the side where those buttons should. He pulled it, and a minute passed until it opened. Without hesitation, she walked in and had the doors close behind her.

In the dark, a face of a machine started to boot up as well as it's arms starting to move and grab her. The voice that slithered out in a gargled distorted voice, saying "Hi" repeatedly. She didn't react..."right", only looking quite curious about this machine. It soon took out a laser that shot at her, disintegrate her clothes, "Holy shit!" The next second, the floor opened up below her to drop onto the next floor. She kept a sharp eye on everything around her, spotting another man behind a desk with a stack of paper in front of him. "Please sign to verify that this is everything you've ever said," He pushed it towards her. Shrugging, she signed it quickly and dropped down to the next level. On this level, there was a large metal detector you see when you try to get on a plane or something. Standing beside it was a much smaller man, and he said, "Please confirm to your knowledge that you are not a fully robotic being, were born an organic creature, and do in fact possess what many cultures would call a soul." "Do a lot of people not know if their robots or not?" "Thank you for confirming, please move through."

She didn't want to keep them waiting, so she simply walked in to trigger a flash that ended in only a second. Once ending, some kind of polaroid came out from the side covered in different colors. "What if I was robot and walked through it?" "It would've melted you from the inside out," He simply answered. She nodded to herself, walking through the doors to enter a room that really did look like a DMV or bank. To her left, there was another guard with another one of those sticks, "Take a ticket." She nodded and took one, walking through one of the turnstile gates. Multiple posters on the wall caught her attention as she walked, they were similar enough to the classic ones you see on Earth. Made to look like something motivational and symbolic, but really just something to remind you to obey or perish. It didn't really bother her anyway, but it was good to note. "What even is this place?" She questioned to herself quietly. "Hey there!" A woman's voice came onto the overhead speakers. "You're probably saying, 'What even is this place?' " That's odd. A movement caught her eye, it was a TV were a cartoon style mascot appeared that seemed to be a clock.

"Welcome to the Time Variance Authority! I'm Miss Minutes, and it's my job to catch you up before you stand trial for your crimes. So let's not waste another minute. Settle in, sharpen your pencils, and check this out," She exclaimed with a smile. A loud thunder clap was heard as she started to tell a story, "Long ago, there was a vast multiversal war. Countless unique timelines battled each other for supremacy, nearly resulting in the total destruction of...well, everything." After a giant explosion on screen, in faded three giant figures in the darkness of space. She went on, "But then, the all knowing Time Keepers emerged, bringing peace by reorganizing the multiverse into a single timeline, the Sacred Timeline. Now, the Time Keepers protect and preserve the proper flow of time for everyone and everything." Next was a yellow man walking with a group of others, a giant red line being open to him and him running up in instantly. "But sometimes, people like you veer off the path the Time Keepers created. We call those Variants. Maybe you started an uprising," That sounded too familiar. "Or were just late to work. Whatever it was, stepping off your path created a nexus event which, left unchecked, could branch off into madness, leading to another multiversal war. But, don't worry, to make sure that doesn't happen again, the Time Keepers created the TVA and all it's incredible workers," She went on. It showed a bunch of the people she just saw on her way here marching with smiles on there faces, that was definitely a lie. She explained, "The TVA has stepped in to fix your your mistake and set time back to it's predetermined path. Now that your actions have left you without a place on the timeline, you must stand trial for your offenses. So sit tight, and we'll get you in front of a judge in no time. Just make sure you have your ticket, and you'll be seen by the next available attendant." It looked like it was ending with the logo of the TVA and it's moto right below it. It was very entertaining to watch of course, it also gave her more thoughts to ponder on as she kept walking towards the front of the room. She thought, "What makes the Time Keepers knows what's the right way things are suppose to go in this Sacred Timeline? These are the bad guys, aren't they?"

She was escorted to another room that looked like a court, since she had to stand trial 'for her crimes' so it didn't really surprise her that much. These people really do like the color orange, don't they? The one thing that broke her a bit was the another person waiting in front the judge. "Loki?" She thought.
